Google Webmaster Console to show "live" PR and more, SEOMoz interview
Another SEOMoz interview (I'm going to stop posting about SEOMoz after this), wherein Rand Fishkin interviews Vanessa Fox from the Google WMC team. I haven't watched it yet but this is the summary of the important parts (from the site itself so I hope they're not lying):
(edit: these are the topics discussed, and not a list of potential WMC features confirmed by Google)
- Delete URL
- Live PR Score
- Alexa-like Functionality
- Link Sorting in Webmaster
- Supplemental Index notification
- Link Penalty Notifications
- Links to Dead/Error Pages

If this works it could end up being very very very very handy.

ooh, I would like the alexa-like functionality. Google data would be much more accurate, and be far more valuable!

They already have a chart that shows PR of your pages in a graph form with High, Medium and Low pages. Are they improving on that feature?

Google is going to replace all the available seo tools at this rate. I already find their webmaster tools to be very helpful, it sounds like they will be kicking it up a notch with these additions/improvements - can't wait!

Is this referring to google analytics?

I just signed up to an account there, so yet to know all of the features... but the live PR sounds like a good idea.

The linking penalty thing would be like a God send, one of my clients seems to get hit with one of these every other day, Live PR would be sweet and it would save me cash, I could calculate exactly how many links I need for my directory and not waste any money by going over.

Yeah you're right, I finally got a chance to watch it. Disappointing to say the least. I've added a dislaimer to the post but can't seem to change the post title itself, the eternal VB weakness. Anyone who gave me a green should give me a red to balance things out.

yeah, now that i've watched the video i see what you guys are saying...nothing new and it turns out the "live" pagerank was just a joke. if you're into watching two people giggling then it's a good use of twenty minutes, otherwise i'd suggest skipping it
