Where to publish your promotional video/infomercial?

I am working on an online video marketing venture that's planned for launch this year. I have put up a blog at http://www.LeadsByVideo.com if you're interested in staying informed.

Basically I am looking for pre-lauch members and anyone interested in helping or leveraging from my efforts.

Here is a few details, (please excuse the sales pitch flavour of the overview) so you know what it's about:

    An overview

If you could get a promotional video put together for your online business, that explained the value of your offer, and you could get that video viewed by tens of thousands of people eager to view promotional material. Would that be of benefit to you?

What if there was a screening process that filtered out prospects & leads from all the viewers? Would you be interested in presenting the leads with a promotional offer? Would you like it if they willingly gave you their contact details?

Let me explain a bit about LeadsByVideo.com:

    The difference

Other video marketing channels like YouTube are extremely in-efficient, mainly because they're not designed for businesses seeking lead acquisition through video marketing. They attract viewers that are interested in free entertainment, not viewers that want to watch promotional offers.

Advertising networks that offer banners and links are starting to get into video marketing, but they're not placing videos in front of people who want to watch them.

The Launch - An opportunity for you

I am interested in hearing from anyone with established internet businesses who're interested in getting involved in the pre-launch of a pioneering video marketing service.

The launch will include the creation of mini infomercials for established websites.

If you're interested in becoming a pre-launch member of LeadsByVideo please signup at the site. I promise you that in return for helping launch the service you will receive fantastic VIP benefits that could mean big growth to your business.

    More Details

I won't reveal at this time, where the thousands of video viewers will come from, or, how I plan to convince them to watch video advertisements. But I can say this:

    • Your video can be anything from a software demo, a screen capture with audio, to a full blown infomercial or advertisement.
    • Viewers will be given a choice after viewing your video. They can view the next video or they can become a pre-qualified lead who will view your promotional offer. Remember these pre-qualified leads have watched your video and opted to view your website or offer. They already understand your product or service based on the content of the video.
    • You will be able to have your video produced professionally for you. You will be able to measure your CPA and CVR of your video, even split test your efforts using slightly different videos.
    • Viewers view videos from a playlist category, so your video gets the same "air time" or "number of views" as every other video. It's an even playing field for everyone, be they big or small.

Go beyond the banner and articles you currently use, create infomercials and get them on the LeadsByVideo playlist.

Let me know if you think your website/online business could benefit from video marketing or if you think you can contribute in any way.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Its a little hard to believe that you would be able to generate viewers who WANTED to watch commercials. This seems counter intuitive. I don;t think you will get too far until you explain how you plan on doing this.

OK the subscription function is now working.

    BOG:
That is the exact problem I have solved that gives LeadsByVideo the competitive edge, hence I am not releasing that answer just yet.

Rest assured I will reveal all in due course

I don't expect people to sit and watch ads all day long. There is ofcourse a relevant reason for them to watch.

I hear a lot of sceptisism, why so? Why not embrace the idea and set your mind wondering what opportunities this technology holds, and what your ideal marketing video would contain?

No one has replied to my original question:

I have some more to add to this point:

There will be two types of Leads. Direct Response Leads and Indirect Response Leads. DRLs click through to your website immediately. IRLs are followed up after indicating interest in you video.

I'd be interested in hearing how much you think a pre-qualified lead is worth in comarison to a lead from a source like adwords or a banner click through.

For example if you're paying $1.00 per adword clickthrough, and all the user knows about you is what he read in the little text box.

How much more (as a percentage) is a video clickthru worth considering the lead has watched at least 30 seconds of your promotional video, and opted to surf to you offer?

I have subscribed to your newsletter Zorde.

    In response to your question:
Most online business can benefit from video marketing I think, it all depends non the video itself, the audience and the value proposition the video "ad" actually puts forward.

I am going to watch your developments with this site because its a new idea that goes against the norm (people wanting to watch ads) and I can appreciate that. If we here on DP can not embrace each others ideas then why bother!

Good luck with it Zorde and if I can be of any help please let me know.

Thanks Ruby for the encouraging words,

LeadsByVideo definitely has benefits for DP members.

At leadsByVideo.com, we’re going to help people communicate their offering (value proposition) in manner that maximises customer acquisition.

Basically we’re going to have opportunities to get your video professionally produced for you, or if you want to do it yourself we will have resources to help you structure your video to sell.

Apart from getting your video played for free, I can add, that we envisage every video to be 30 seconds long and watched to the end by every viewer.

A few people who have dabbled in video marketing on Youtube have asked me how it can benefit them, I have responded with the following remarks:

Small businesses can always benefit from free advertising, especially TV commercials, so it makes sense to embrace the concept.

The Internet is rapidly evolving to fully embrace video, and in a social way that TV never could. A website with a static text based value proposition is going to struggle to sell against competitors with full blown interactive video infomercials.

Unfortunately, Youtube is not a place where people want to be sold stuff. They just want free entertainment. LeadsByVideo is completely different, it is designed from the ground up to bring leads to the advertiser.

Zorde do you have an ETA? When will you launch the beta?

I'm pretty curious to see it in action and how it will benefit my businesses.

We're planning to launch by December. However it all depends on how many pre-launch members we can get onboard. We need to populate the system with commercial videos so viewers have something to watch. Pre-launch members will of course get their play-list spots for free.

It is a great way to get some free advertising exposure.

Look out for our Press Release this week..

I'll post it here so DP members get it first :)

Apologies for the delayed press release. It should go out today.

I will post a link to it when it does.

We've been tied up with formalities. We want to be able to create quality internet infomercials for our members who don't already have videos. We believe this will be a very appealing feature of LeadsByVideo.com

We're a little disappointed in the prelaunch signup rate at this time. But considering we haven't sent any press releases or announcements yet, it is to be expected.

I invite everyone to comment on the idea and feasibility of Leads by Video. Please post your comments.

OK here is the link to the Press Release as promised

    http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/5/prweb524849.htm

I can now announce that the viewers will watch internet infomercials or video commercials in return for getting their own video shown or even produced.

Not such a bad idea, but if one searches google videos for a topic of interest, one likely will find a promo video about it. Now if one went to say, Video Classified Ads.info, one could purchase a minute on a prime-time infomercial where 30 different 1 minute ads were running.

For list building and new prospects, the idea of sharing the costs of a prime time infomercial that goes on TV, DBS, and the cable network would likely be a better option. What would something like that cost, or do you know anyone doing it (other than Video Classified Ads.info)
