Who cares when googles searchengine can't pick up sites and phrases correctly?

Well, G is frustrating and we can't seem to figure it out, so I'd say G is definitely a she.;)

If you are going to use the personalize feature then you may as well use Yahoo. Googles results are ass and Yahoo is a MUCH better portal.

    My two cents.

No. I dont need to prove anything, I can only speak for myself and this has been my experience.

Yesterday I was trying to find the store that I purchased some magnetic decals from because I had to go pick them up and had never been there before. I did a total of 9 different searches using very specific terms such as "ABC company Reno Nevada" and could not for the life of me find anything other than crap directory results and "about" pages. I then went to Yahoo and bingo! #7 was exactly what I was looking for. The company website.

This has been happening quite a bit so I have been using Yahoo more and more. The wife wont use Google at all anymore. She is a manager in a call center with 400 employees and says that this has become the case for everyone she knows. So it isnt just webmasters complaining, regular users are starting to feel the same.

Google still gives me more traffic than anyone else, but Yahoo is picking up steadily.

Are you speaking of the amount of traffic sent or the relevancy of the results themselves?

Perhaps I am alone, I'm not trying to say the results suck for everyone, they just suck for me. When I search I want to find right away, not spend 20 minutes looking through unrelated junk. Google just frustrates me more and more lately.

I mean relevancy. msn and yahoo can be manipulated to get great serps. google is more difficult to do so.
    my 2 cents

Oh? Then why is it that white hats rank well in MSN and Yahoo and black hats dominate certain markets in Google?

    EDIT:

To jump back on topic (sorry for my off topic rant) I guess the google personal is nice but in my honest Yahoo is a much better portal if you are the portal type. JMHO

Yeah, I kinda agree that yahoo has the portal business down to a T, but it's pretty cool that in G you can drag your different content modules around to organize them :)

with only a title and no description for the items (news/rss), I have to click in each one to see if it is interesting.. so it's just worthless
