Given the recent discussion about my book, I thought it'd be useful for me to spend a few hours and put together a sample chapter from Make Easy Money with Google in PDF form so you can really get a feel for what the book's about, who it's for, and what it has to offer. Please visit this page: MakeEasyMoneyWithGoogle.com/book/sample-chapter.html to download you free copy of Chapter 3, "Finding Something to Say" (PDF, 938K). No strings attached, and I'm always interested in feedback.
Hmm, very interesting. I have somewhat similar topics, but they are fully accessible with HTML. No, we're not selling some "Adsense Secret' PDF e-book for $97, are we?
No, and I contend that there are no real AdSense "secrets" anyhow, as I've argued before in The AdSense Formula.
Hmm... works for me. If anyone wants it and can't download it, I can zip it up and send it to you by email, just drop me a note at and I'll be happy to mail it.
Been there, done that. A friend of mine bought the $97 thingy, luckily we decided to split the cost in half. I start to think these people (you-know-who) makes more money selling the costly e-book than AdSense
That may be true. Then again, they're probably pretty smart to diversify their income that way! BTW, I put a ZIPped version of the PDF file up on the site, those who have trouble downloading the PDF directly can try it instead. Or mail me.
Given the title, I think I could write this book myself, but I don't know.. seobook ended up being being detailed, up-to-date, and knowledgeable IMHO. Is this book on the same level of sophistication as seobook? Eric
A lot of people think that, but it actually takes some effort to write a book! Different books for different audiences. Mine's not an e-book (it's an actual book) and is very much aimed at newcomers who really don't know about web servers, domain names, creating web pages, etc. -- it's not just about AdSense. For the target audience, it's spot on. For many people here it's probably too introductory. Read the chapter and you'll see if it's good for you or not. If it's not good for you, though, it's probably good for your friends and family
Hi eric i must admit i have been looking to order your book over the last couple of weeks. looking at your writing style did you have any imput in to the idiots guide ?
No, I've never written a book or had any input into either The Complete Idiot's Guide or the For Dummies series. I suppose the style is similar, except that those two series don't have narratives. I just wanted to write a book that would be very approachable to non-techies, who find all this web stuff very intimidating. What you see in the sample chapter is the tone and style for the entire book. It won't suit everyone, of course -- no one can write a book that pleases everyone. Here's another article for your reading pleasure: When AdSense Makes No Sense
Is there any way to auto ignore people in vbulletin who post subjects containing ebook/pdf/easy money ?
I just skimmed over it, but looks useful.. Did notice you encourage people to come up with a topic first and not get so tied up with putting the cart before the horse... Will go back and read it all when I get a chance... but looks to have some useful information.
Nice content and well written, but why don't you include in this ebook how to get real traffic, because with out traffic all this will be useless. Still behind adsense secret is lot of traffic. If you can create a complete guide to get real traffic for free.... I guess your ebook will be more successful
It's not an e-book, it's an excerpt (one chapter out of ten) from a "real" (printed) book. I do discuss traffic later on in the book, but nothing earth-shattering, just the standard tips (use SEO, publicize your site in email sigs, participate in forums, etc.). Mostly the focus of the book is to build a quality site and let the traffic grow slowly and naturally. For people who aren't trying to live off of AdSense I do believe it's the best strategy. You have to keep having fun doing it!
Eddie- The book speaks of traffic a little. What you are asking for is a book about SEO and adsense and it really is two different subjects. They do go hand in hand but SEO is much more subjective and ever changing. If Eric wrote all about SEO..... then it would likely be outdated very quickly. You cannot be everything to everybody.
It would be up to the publisher to do that, and I don't think a German publisher has come forward yet to purchase the German language rights for the book. I certainly couldn't translate it myself!
Hi Erik, I've just took some time to read the free chapter, I must admit it reads easy and looks rather professional. Among all those eBooks about adsense yours is maybe one of the best ones, but I don't see why anyone should bother to buy it? All you need to know about adsense can be summirized like this: Choose a niche you like and which has little competition, use www.nichebot.com to find it. Find a good, short domain, which will be unique, containing keyoword(s) and easy to remember. Use www.domainsbot.com to find expired domains. Add content, lots of interesting content, related to your niche. Do some SEO work: use <h1>, <h2>.. ,title tags with keywords, keep high keyword density (over 1%). Exchange links with other similar sites, which rank high in google, submit to directories, buy links. And, finally, put adsense and earn Who needs all these stories? Just MHO, Mike
