$50 Lyrics Script With 400k+ Lyrics

Up for auction is the script that runs AmpLyrics. The script was built around the ability to customize the theme. The theme file is very small, cause the bulk of the PHP code is in functions files.

Features:

I coded it, so it's unique.
Uses Amazon's artist images to add to the design (downloads them to server - over 7,700 collected so far)
SEO meta tags and title for each page. The title and meta tags will reflect the current band/song/album that you are looking at.
Customizable settings in admin panel. You can delete artists, edit lyrics, change settings, add lyrics, and so on.
Very fast code. Searching through a 431k db is a breeze.

Your admin seens to lack a module where one could insert Adsense/YPN at different points on the web pages, like most arcade scripts have.

If you could come up with something for that, I may be interested.

 

Ok, I will integrate adsense with blending, and add the config options to the MySql database tomorrow. I will post back when completed.

Honestly I'm not really sure. I picked up this database around 1 month ago, but I have no idea how old it is.

 

This looks tempting but what is the legal issues surrounding copyright infringement when it comes to lyrics hosting ?

 

I believe they are copyrighted, but I've had no issues with it at all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but before an artist takes action they have to issue a request for removal?




Also if you see errors on the script, I'm currently working on it to make it look a lot better.

 

Ok guys just spent a long time on it fixing it up a lot. Made it a lot more eye friendly, integrated adsense, and amazon affiliate to a config file. Just place in IDs and go.

I've been experimenting with different ad placements for 3 weeks with this layout, and found that this configuration is the best so far. As I continue moving things around, I can inform any buyers of the changes that have helped me and can potentially help them. Along with this, any changes I make to the script will be free to the buyer forever. If any bugs are found, I will also of course fix those.

Yes fairly easy. Most of the code is in the themes directory in index.php, and then there are some <div>s in the function file.

Look at all the other categories, and tell me there is a better one. People sell sites here with no traffic and a .99 cent .info domain all the time. I really don't see the difference man.
