Calculate number of links based on weight

Is there a way to calculate approximately how many links will the site get with certain weight?

    Example:
    - My weight is 10,000
    - I create a single add to a site and give it 10% of the weight (the rest 90% goes to a different site)

How many links will this create for the site?

This is crutial for new sites which should not get too many links to quickly.

    Thanks.

You get back what you give. As an approximation assume you'll be getting back the same number of links as you contribute to the coop.

This must depend on PR too. I'm sure I would get back more links if my site in network was PR 8 as opposed to PR 0 or 1.

I guess it's a hit and miss to certain extent. I am pointing the weight to other (not mine) sites to dillute the weight if it's too high...

With 1,000 weight my guess would be anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000 links will begin reporting when you do a linkdomain: search in Yahoo. Will probably take about 10 days for Yahoo to start showing these numbers.
