Why Google doesn't show the forum signature links?

    Hi there,

I want to know that while checking link:www.domainname.com in Google there is no links trace for the forums signature.

Can anyone tell me please the reason?

    Thanks

google shows only a part of backlinks, to make an idea, try yahoo site explorer and you will see all the links, including signatures.

Yes, you may want to use the Yahoo Powered Backlink Analyzer for better results. Alternatively, you can also see more links in your google sitemap account.

Agreed, Yahoo tends to be the most accurate in displaying links that are indexed.

As others have stated I see forum links by using the webmaster tools from Google. However, Google only shows a portion of links when compared to Yahoo.

All of that being said does this difference occur because Google is pickier about the links it counts towards your site?

    1. Google doesnt show all backlinks
    2. It takes time to update the backlinks
    3. Forums that add rel="nofollow" will not be considered as backlink.
