An answer back from Google. RE: Revenue Sharing for non webmasters
Thought I'd share this with the forum as I know it's a hot topic at the moment.
Dear Google, I run a forum which uses revenue sharing, however a lot of my members don't have websites. What is the best way for them to join the Adsense program so as to receive revenue for their content on my site? I've double checked the Google TOS and I am doing everything correctly so far. If they put my URL in as there site will this be acceptable? Hello Lee, Thank you for your email. Your members are welcome to submit an application at https://www.google.com/adsense/app-single-1 with your site as their URL. There is no cost or obligation and our review period takes just 2-3 days. If their applications are approved, they can easily set up their accounts and start displaying Google ads and AdSense for search within minutes. Please be aware that the revenue generated from these ads will be directly tied to the specific account(s) indicated in the ad code. I also recommend that you continue to read the AdSense Terms and Conditions at https://www.google.com/adsense/terms to ensure that your implementation does not generate invalid impressions or clicks and is not in violation of any of our policies. For additional questions, I'd encourage you to visit the AdSense Help Centre ( http://www.google.com/adsense_help ), our complete resource centre for all AdSense topics. Alternatively, feel free to post your question on the forum just for AdSense publishers: the AdSense Help Group ( http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help ). Sincerely, Siobhán The Google AdSense Team |

Thats great...
So people can create accounts from a single site - seems confusing ? |

Sometime it can create some problems, because of members can generate fake impressions and clicks to earn money and the whole site can be banned..

An update on this,
I run a popular polish forum that has Revenue sharing and recently one of my members tried to sign up and was rejected. I think it was a one off but basically the letter was that google does not support sites that promote ad clicking. Anyway I sent a nasty letter back to Adsense asking them to show me where on my site is there any inclination whatsoever of my site suggesting people click google ads. If anything the whole ethos of the community is strongly against add clicking. |
