Well, I think we need some sort of a separate thread to discuss Google PageRank updates so that it targets a distinct period of time, and let the older threads serve as an archive of past events. Therefore, I think it might be a good idea to start a discussion off about this year's (2007) updates. I've seen people stressing about sudden PR changes on their websites, and it's happening on my end, too. Lots are asking if this is the "next" PR update. So what is it? A real update or maybe a datacenters issue? Or maybe something else? They say PR updates take place once every 3-4 months, and it's only been like 2 months since the last one, roughly. What do you think? Anything unusual happening on your end?
I saw some roll back around the DCs yesterday, but everything back to normal now. I think you're right - we do need a place to keep all the PageRank threads together. How about a new PR forum since everyone seems so obsessed about it?
Quite good idea. Everyone who don't want to read another 'news' and impressions about any changes, could just ignore it
A page rank forum would be a great idea. Cause there is always 4-5.. maybe 6-7... or maybe 8-9-10 new trhead about the PR each time it's getting close to be updated... Kind of redundant.
I think it started in December and complete in January and I believe export from the server side, to the public side started some days ago at DC and snapshot to toolbar PR is around the corner, maybe 2-3 weeks.
I ever posted this. I own a website created from dropped domain however it could be offline for more than 1 year. (so PR should drop to 0). As a matter a fact, just a few DC shows PR 2 (old values) when I registered this domain 2 months ago, most DC shows big 0... yesterday I found most DC shows PR 1... click here: http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=www.kathyherrera.com you can some PR 2 and most PR 1..
it seems to be datacenters rather than pageranks. I think most the time it may be caused by people using different pageranking sites which have different datacenters.

Wow, Gogiants. This is my site. Seems that my PR dropped down . This is not fair, Google. I have worked very hardly on this .
Yep. Original Idea from Clive to keep the page rank discussion separated is great and the forum idea came by CountryBoy which is great also. How can this forum be spread? I mean there's several main topic that the PR subject could be split. Like a parent PageRank forum ( into the Google Main forum of DP ), and it's subforums.
Yeah, a "PageRank" subforum next to "AdSense" and "Adwords" would be nice, if a moderator gets a chance to see this suggestion.
And what would you suggest as for the subforums of the "Page Rank" forum? While creating something might as well categorize it in the begining... I think of course of a "Current Update" subforum where discussion would be concerning the current google update. I cant think of others subforum but there is surely some other topic this main topic could be split.
I think that a Page Rank forum would be a good idea too. I'm always interested in when updates are coming, and latest theories, but picking out posts in the Google forum can be diffcult - there are so many other topics in there.
