Have you ever regained access to your limited paypal account after u submitted docs?

my paypal account is limited. may be due to huge transactions..

can i dream of setting my paypal alright after i submit docs? will it happen atleast within a month?

 

Yes you can - when PayPal first begain finally working with banks in Greece, i immediately started using them. A couple of days later they limited my account until we submitted paperwork showing we were a legitimate business entity in Greece.

This has to do with an EU regulation regarding money laundering - once that was sorted, we've been fine ever since. It took about 6 weeks to sort out though so be prepared for a wait.

The same thing happened to a business partner of mine in the US - she opened a new PayPal account to use with a new membership we had started and within weeks it was frozen. She worked through the process with PayPal and within two weeks everything was sorted.

Basically this happens when a new or existing account sees a sudden, dramatic increase in the volume of transactions. We've since learned to contact PayPal and let them know when we're about to launch a new product and give them an estimate of transactions/revenue expected.

Although it's a royal pain in the butt, PayPal is just protecting themselves and complying with various regulations internationally.

Submitting all of the required information, may get your account unlimited, but if they feel the risk is still too high, they can hold the money for up to 180 days.

 

I've only had one paypal account locked, and that was a couple of years ago. They never explained why it was locked, and I never got the account back.

It only had a couple of dollars in it at most, but I never got the money back.

I've since made a new account, and not had any problems with that one.

I've not heard of accounts being limited for large transactions before - is that a new thing?

 

Yes, about a year ago, my account got limited. I don't even have money on my account.

I resolved it immediately and my account was okay within a week.

 

If they are not satisfied with my documents, will they give me money back after 180 days?

If they are not satisfied then send them more information. Usually they will be satisfied if all the documents details matches the details which you signed up with. As long as none of the information is fake, I don't see a reason why they will not unlock your account.

 

Sometimes paypal restores your account after being limited only and only if you submtt all the documents and also if were lucky too.Because i had crossed through the same problem.One of my account was limited in MAY 2007 and i was asked to send documents i fax up the required documents and recieved an email that my documents were recieved there and i got happy that they had received my douments and now my account will be restored in 48 hours.BUT after 72 hours i recieve an email from paypal saying that i have to fax the documents again because they had not recieved the documents.I said bull shit.How's that pssoible that they lost my documents.Man i did it again and then started waiting for their reply and wents up 7 months and they never replied for restoring my account.But in the last six months they did 30 mails saying that some extra documents are required.Though i sent my every document but don't who are sitiing on table their for checking socuments perhaps that may be blind.
And when i lost hopes of restoring account i opened a new account and i recieved about 1300$ in it.After a month a recieved a mail from paypal that they need some verification documents and till then i can't with draw my money.I sent the documents through up;oading them as its a newly added feature (fucked off to fax documents) and after few days they replied saying that they need my credit statment i said i can't send it.And my account remained limited (the seconf one) for about one month i didn't sent the credit card statment but yesterday i recieved a mail that MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN RESTORED i got shocked that they restore my account.Still i can't believe it.Although i looged inn into my account but still i don't believe that paypal did it.

The conclusion of my whole story is that if you were LUCKY you will get restored your account otherwise can't say anything.But the better is do as paypal asks to do.And fax the documents in the given period of time.
