OK, I just setup my new proxy site: www.proxycarbon.com , check it out. The procedure was fairly simple, I came up with a name, and while xauric coded his template, I registered it with namecheap.com and then transferred it to my host. I had a working proxy site in 1 hour after we came to agreement on the terms.

Xauric is a very good person to work with so far, and quick to deliver. The project is not complete yet, the deal includes a text file of 100 top proxy sites which will be delivered tomorrow, plus he is providing 1 hour of consultation by chat or phone on SEO, again that will be tomorrow.

As a side order, xauric is going to submit my site to the top 50 proxy topsites for $10.

I will have an overall rating and feedback after the project is complete. But so far so good.

It looks very good. What you have to do is to add a meta description about proxy and add text talking about proxy on the page or else you will never get targeted ads and you will get a very low adsense ctr. Do it now, before Google indexes it.

 

Meta tags will of course be added for all websites along with the google ad targeting code.

 

I added my own meta description and keywords, and added some text on the page. check the site and see if it looks ok: proxycarbon.com

xauric and I will go over some SEO stuff later on in terms of directories that he uses and recommends, and paid links etc.

Update: The project is 100% complete for www.proxycarbon.com

The site is up and running, and xauric was extremely quick in turning around a few customizations for me and fixing the odd bit of php code that needed updating after I first published the site. This indicates that xauric was not dashing for the door but stayed with it to the finish. I also got the impression that he was not just tweaking some css and minor html, but knew the php enough to fix some errors on the proxy coding which is now 100%.

He also submitted the site to 50 topsites at my request for $10 and I received the href links and submission emails today. We also spent the last hour chatting about SEO, directories, and useful groups to promote proxies.

Bottom Line: I would recommend xauric to DP members on this type of project, very knowledgeable, respectful, and quick to deliver.

Added reference: I am considering entering into a joint venture with xauric based upon my good experience.
