What to do for Traffic ?

Hi,

I have a website, well indexed in major search engines.
But most of the pages are comming in supplement reasult and had not crawled since JAn'2005. As they are well linked at second level within website. And only few of my pages are comming in search results, I am worried because i am not getting much traffic.

Please help and suggest in knowing better wary of getting clicks / traffic other than Paid program.

In my opinion supplement results are due following two reasons :

>> Dup. content.
>> Dead links.

But, my site is free from both above problems.

Now, i am thinking pages are comming in supplement only because, they are not crawled since an' 2005. As index page is getting crawled every 5th day of week.

It looks is very strange.

 

hello webmaster,
do you have a sitemap for your site? if not try making one
if you are talking about google, a simple solution is there, make a complete XML site map, upload it on google and google will crawl your whole site within 5 days.

Webmaster, are you talking about the holiday site in your sig? If so then they are not supplimentary results but partially indexed pages, which is a whole different ballgame.

The site which i am talking about is not from my signature. It is different one and i have not mentioned its name.

 

Yes, I have a sitemap in my site.
But i am afraid that making xml site map for Google can penalize me. As already my 90 % pages are comming in supplement reasults.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Google have an option where you can remove your site from their listings? If you did that, then re-submitted? Could it help?

Just a thought, maybe someone could add some feedback.

 

yes google has this option I use it very often if google indexed wrong sites or wrong information.

What made you to think so? i dont think google will panelize you if u submit XML site map

 

This is my oppinion too. Google will crawl your site faster and better because it will know exactly what to crawl . got it?
