BeerChief.com (a new, upcoming web 2.0 project) needs two bouncers in graphic/anime form to display on a static homepage. The bouncers should be big, broad, tough, cool looking guys with sunglasses and earpieces, black suits.. the works. They will surround an age verification drop down box, so we'll have one left of the box and one right. So pretend the 'box' is the door, and the bouncers are protecting it from people not on a guestlist. The bouncers should have their arms folded, chest puffed out, legs apart, generally looking very strong and not to be messed with. Gloss, style, reflection.. everything web 2.0 is welcomed. You can just draw one bouncer and we can mirror image it, however slight changes in posture, expression etc.. would be welcomed. *Prize is $50 via paypal. *Contest closes in 10 days time (22nd march), should we see something we like, we'll close it early.
am no designer, but i like your idea.great imagination. looking forward to see the site and this design done. good luck with that.
here's my try . its handmade pencil sketch which i photoshopped on , feedbacks appreciated . the door and
killerj, I'm almost certain that you didn't draw that yourself. I found this while I was searching for bouncer pictures.
Technically he didn't say he drew it himself, but sheesh another copy! I'm glad we have some eagle-eyed people on here!
wow! thats pretty impressive... who did that one ? i'm sure its not the one i used (though it looks a bit similar) .. but this one seems copyright protected as well.
Yes, the bouncer produced by Killerj is xerox copy of this (Including word SECURITY horizontally across chest. lol!). Nothing harm if it is taken as reference to create new one. Copying as it is not appreciated any way. It is a contest...please let us provide original and unique designs. If not capable of doing it please do not copy someone's artworks/cartoons/illustrations and caricatures as is. It really hurts. Tip: If you are really fascinated to draw or sketch, take original photographs of real people as reference and convert their features in to line drawing and change the costumes, hair style, facial features so as to get correct anatomy of character. No one will say it is replica of someone's art work. The work will be appreciated by one and all.
I hereby state that my work is 100% original and hand drawn by me from a a body building poster i have and i had no idea how this face sketch bearing resemblence to mine (seen above) came into picture. i truly respect originality and all my works are original. now the "trust" part is left to you . i don't have grudge/ jealousy on any co designers and would never make/hurt other designers. i will really feel bad even if i win this one now
could you point to the thread ? you are mistaken if your talking about this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=267813&page=2
It's pretty obvious you copied and pasted the above sketch.. lol if you look at the arms' shading it is exactly the same, including the placement of veins and such.
I agree, the arm shading is the exact same. It sorta looks as if you drew a figure but pasted those arms above it
I'm just new here, and I'm sorry, but I don't believe you. You used that drawing as a concept for your own design, and literally ripped every curve, shadow and inch of shading of the arms. I hereby state that you're lying. Think about it, there is more chance of winning the lottery than two artists coming up with two drawings that are almost identical. No, sorry, you'll keep more pride if you admit it and stop trying to argue against the facts.
Every curve of the original drawing is copied it seems. The rest is his own, or maybe cut and pasted from somebody elses work.
