Exclamation Advertising text ads in Gmail

Hi all,

I want to place text ads solely in Gmail. Trouble is, Google forces you too choose between content advertising (that includes millions of other sites) and site targeted (that don't let you choose the word that are interested in). Is there any way out.

Edo

SERPalert will become famous soon enough
Welcome to dp!

I think the problem you face Edo is you're in the minority.

To my (somewhat limited) knowledge it isn't possible.

gmail (I'm pretty sure) is part of the search network. Opt into the search network and your ads will be iin gmail.

At the present time there is no way to specifically target or exclude gmail.

There's no way to advertise only in gmail.

edit: I was incorrect about gmail being part of the search network - it's part of the content network.

Google's Gmail service, which is part of the content network, also displays AdWords ads. Here you can see how the ads relate to the discussion in the email:
That's from here:

Thanks to SER for the correction.
