I think sevenseek is custom built, originally by the guys over at v7n if I'm not mistaken.

I will not say that phpLD is 100% SEO friendly because there are some SEO related issues with it. The one issue that i am aware of is the 404 error page which always show your directory homepage instead of an error page and this leads to the duplicate content issue and is something google is not in favor of. Maybe we have a fix for this already. Apart from that, PHPLD is a great script :)

Yes, Home page showing instead of error page but header status is 404. So, it's not any issue for SEO.
SevenSeek is built on http://www.freephpdirectoryscript.com/ , It was the expensive script and now offering a special low price for a limited time.

I use WSNLINKS, and it is absolutely great. I am working at an ALT problem on the "Updated" and "New" images, but other than that, I get great SEO scores on the validators.

The admin panel even has a separate category for SEO. Rewriting is taken to a fine art in this script, as well as many other SEO techniques.

I'd reccomend it. Haven't used phpLD though.

Yes, WSN links is a good script. But there is lot of option in admin area, not that much user friendly. Also they don't have any good default interface for user area.

I think you should take a look on phpLD, It's simple and very powerful.

    Just my opinion :D

phpLynx has SEO-friendly URLS (hyphenated category names), user supplied meta tags (descriptions and keywords) for category and details pages, and link detail pages are pulled from mysql and use the format http:// yoursite.com /more_info.php?id=811 to retrieve the listings details.

Having the link details not tied to a category will allow the directory owner to move listings from category to category without losing any SERPs or PR the details page may have already earned and having to start over with the new URL. I think this is very important to anyone with a directory that displays the details pages and who maintains their directory properly by moving listings around as categories get overfilled and something I know at least one of the other big players does not have "out of the box".

Problem is, I need a complex script like WSN links to do all of the modifications I need. I heard phpLD is horrible at making modifications or templates. WSN Links doesn't have many templates because no one really has made any to be sold.

The default interface is lacking, I agree. But very useable still. The options in the admin area take some getting used to, but in the end, I wouldn't have it any other way. I've seen phpLD pages and I just don't think it would suit me, I already have good support with WSN Links and a good start on my website.

I would definitely advise just re-coding the scripts after installing. Personally, I re-do all sites/dirs I publsih just to maximize the SEO-Ability... Personally, I think eSyndicat is the most SEO Friendly but thats probably because I re-coded it, lol.

I am using phpmydirectory. I am very much satisified with it. Only one thing I dont like is that admin pages are encrypted and requires Ion Cube loader
