Who didn't think that Israel was planning on hitting back at some point. My goodness, are you all schoolyard bullies who haven't had the nerd fight back at some point? he kind of posted source but of course Israel was preparing for war since hezbollah was building up its force months before on the border and when they kidnapped soldiers that was over the limit and Israel attacked. Now hezbollah needs at least two years to build up again since they were almost completely destroyed. And they said they won haha They shot all their rockets and what they didn't shoot Israel army destroyed. Also they did not make any military objective like destroying Israel army. They only destroyed couple of tanks and buldozers and couple of civilian houses while they got wiped out .....
There is a common recurring theme with just about every attack on Israel. The Muslims attack, Israel retaliates to defend themselves, the Muslims call Israel the aggressors and call the retaliation an unprovoked attack on their sovereignty. Nothing new. Even though in their convoluted logic Hezbollah thinks they won that war, they will probably think real hard about trying that again. It was one of the few times when most of the world recognized them for what they really are.

Israel needed to blow Hezbollah off it's borders in case it needs to attack Iran and blow that reactor and half those whack-job islamist mo-mo's back to never-never land. It's the right move and should be a signal to the rest of the world.
The BBC has had a lot of problems with neutrality on Israeli matters (including being banned from attachments with soldiers) so I would advise against the human shield story until a witness more credible than a Palestinian comes up. (nothing against them, but hell, the "poison balloon" story was taking as credibly for a week!) It's like seeing a big story with witnesses like "an unamed source" or even better, a "senior administration official". But since Israel did it I guess guilty until proven Innocent. The rest, sorry if this is against the rules, but you sound like a 10 year old: I don't know why I'm responding, maybe for the hell of it. First it's spelled "kick ass" and by "pussies", for one maybe if you think they're such "pussies" then why don't you join maybe the US Marines or Navy Seals since I'm sure it's so easy since they must be as bad, right? Excluding the fact that from the time of the Summer war there was no bomb that could simply take out a single building, there is the whole "intelligence" thing, Hezbollah in city areas, dressing as civilians, etc. Because he did a lousy job? Most Israeli's aren't going to disagree with the handling of the war, that's why Olmerts approval rating is on the same level as Cheney's. Investigating the conduct of the war is a procedural thing, doesn't happen all the time but it does happen often to see mistakes and improvements for the future.
