What online product view presentation is better to choose - 2D, Flash or 3D?

Very broad and undefined question somehow.

Well, depends. On the business field (i.e. on the purpose that the presentation is to serve), on the targeted audience, on the money the company has in store to pay and so on.

Probably a more specific question would gain some more concrete answers.

Hmmm, undefined question but somehow has intrigued me.;)

I would go for a 3D presentation, especially in the field of e-trade. There are some businesses you cannot do without excellent visualization.

What do you, guys, think about it? Seems so weird it is only me and Flif show some interest in the topic.

Using flash is best if you wanna have some presentation for your product. it is a cheaper way to do also.

There is an opinion that flash product presentation is less realistic comparing with 3D models. What do you think about the models placed at our web site? Could they prove the given fact?

    Ok. 3DProf4online,

I've looked around your quoted website.

In fact, what I found to be working strongly against you is that requirement to install a visualization plug-in in order to see the page properly.

Just as expected I didn't feel the slightest desire to install any plug-in and gave it up. Like most of other visitors, I am sure, will do.

You've got to think it over very carefully because I guess it appears to be a serious flaw.:(

    Thanks for your share anyway.;)

2D can make wonders too. Sometimes 3Ds are nauseating especially if poorly rendered. 2D would be excellent in Flash. It's not the type, but rather the quality.

But if you visit our web site and see 3D product view models you will change your opinion about 3D, 2D and plug-in. Of course if you are going to sell books 2D will be enough for online product presentation, but it is better to use 3D models for selling such products as jewelry, apparel, watches, mobile phones, cars etc. I think these models can provide online customers with more detailed description of a product they are going to buy comparing with 2D solutions! What do you think about it?

    3DProf4online,

I do agree with your opinion completely. There are some business areas in which using a more detailed visualization appears to be of extreme importance and serves as a competitive advantage.

Still what I find to be very inconvenient with the 3D visualizations on touchbubble is the plug-in requirement and that fact that 3d is a time hog. Every visitors has to spend such a long time to see every single 3d visualization of yours. I am not sure it is working properly and achieving its goals in such a way.

What I guess would be much more convenient in the case is using instant flash video presentation that don't require any plug-ins installment and are more visitor-friendly. They are the future in e-commerce, that's for sure.

    Have a nice day!:)

Obviously 3DProf4online doesn't really care what visitors here have in mind about visualization. I've seen the same advertising post in some other forum. Our writing seems to be absolutely useless in the case.

Of course, 3DProf4online, feel free to correct me if I am wrong. If you really would like your thread to be of some use.
