Ok like everyones opinion on this one. Latest Keyword density for search engines is said to be around 2 to 3%. If your site has some links to other sites on a page or even some ads google adsense shows some ads that have nothing to do with your site. What i mean is most sites will have to have a higher keyword density per page then the 2% if they have anything else on that page. If you need higher than 2 to 3% density for adsense to pick correct keywords how does google pick correct keywords for search engine at lower level. You figure they have same program to figure out best terms for search engines that should be same for adsense. Does anyone know best density for both and not have problems with search engines.
here's the right way to target your ads: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=23168 for SEO, i'll drive 4-6 keywords/keyphrases per page, with at least 500 caracters of unique content, all written by me. the ideal is 1000 + caracters per page. and for me, it works.
Your density is low compared to alot of sites but if it works for you great. The google answer makes life alot easier. Thanks did not see that one before.
no problem rcj, hope you can find answers for your doubts. stay cool and remember this: experiment is the solution.
Keyword density is the number of keywords per hundred or thousand words. So if you have 5 keywords in a page and that page has 100 words on it. Your keyword density would be 5%. Google online keyword density checker they will have alot of sites. You add your url and site lists keywords and thier density. The sites will figure it out for you so it is easy.
You might not want to worry about keyword density so much. Google uses more advanced techniques these days. Look up information about Latent Semantic Indexing or Phrase Based Optimization. The basic idea here is that the more naturally you write, the better it is for being indexed in Google.
Honestly fellas, Im a little confused.. Im not sure where I need to start or what I need to do here.. because on one hand we are suggested Keyword Destiny and on other hand "Phrase Based Optimization"... What I would like to do is see what the advertiser pay for certain keywords... because I am getting alot of impressions and not many clicks and low eCPM... So do I need to do? -Joey
