Hello, I've compiled a checklist for publishing video on YouTube. Please comment: Here is a checklist that we use to prepare video for YouTube. Feel free to comments on this post and share additional ideas. 1. Keyword research. Do it with YouTube keywords suggestion tool as people use in YouTube different keywords to find information they need. 2. Monetize your video. Activate YouTube's feature to monetize your video. You will have some additional funds + you will have valuable marketing information about best converting topics. 3. Link back. In the description field of the video put a link back to your website where people can learn more about product or service or topic that you are promoting. 4. Use channels. Group your videos in YouTube account into channels. Even if you embed video on your website visitor might view it on YouTube in this case he will be able to watch your relevant videos. 5. Disable "show relevant". It is obvious - you don't want visitor to switch to your competitors. That's why be sure to disable "show relevant" check box. 10 more ideas in YouTube checklist. Update: here are latest results achieved with methods that I've tested personally There are much more than 15 tips in the list now, I've earn 253$ in a week with YouTube investing only 10$. Normally you can attack the same keyword by focusing on more specific keyword. Like if you need to be in top 10 for "youtube video" keyword you can add several more specific keywords to make it less competitive, for example "how to create youtube video for iPad"
Thank you for sharing. Some more tips are: - Optimize your YouTube channel for the keyword you are targeting - Create a playlist named after the keyword you want to rank for - Have your video embed on web 2.0 sites
Lanouvelle, thank you for ideas! Added to the original list! Also, added a more specific advice about targeting different keywords: Hard keywords. If you cannot get in top for hard keyword, then try creating video for more specific keywords. Like "keyword1 how to", "keyword1 explained", "funny keyword1", "keyword1 step-by-step" For me "keyword1 explained" "facts about keyword1" worked perfectly.
Well this is really informative and useful in making marketing for youtube business. Thanks for this buddy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwGhr4T1AqA My video is this and my keyword is new songs 2012.Some days ago it was on first page of youtube and now it skipped to 10th page. Please help me out
You already have great result as for video I'd suggest you to introduce more keywords, probably create more videos for the same keyword like "new best songs 2012", "new songs in 2012". Also, repeating "2012 new songs" might looks as a spamming for YouTube. Try replacing with "this year new hits".
Yes i understand this is my client video.I never change the keyword. Please suggest some effective to get back the ranking.
I think you are in high competitive niche, so adding more videos for different keywords might be a good ideas. In this way you can promote the channel, not just one video.
Thank you Alexsgs for adding these tips to the list ad for giving us this new one about more specific keywords. Creating several videos about other precise keywords sounds good to me. That way you have more content related to the main keyword. Thank you for the tip.
ALSO!!! If you actually say the keywords in your video, youtube picks that up and makes it more relavent for the search engines
