Directory Programming and Design

I am thinking of starting a niche directory. Does anyone here do custom development and design that may be interested in doing this? If the price is right, I will outsource the entire project. Otherwise, I can do the programming myself and just have the design done. Preferably, it would be done in ASP.

I just realized I should have posted this in the programming category. Opps. If Shawn or something can move it, that's fine with me. Thanks.

before you go through any trouble, check out phplinkdirectory first.. It is free, seo friendly and looks really good. (some sites in the tool in my sig uses this script, and those directories looks much better thatn the others)

Dejavu - I did consider this, but I was hoping to achieve an ASP based directory. I tried one ASP directory product, but it did not work properly....so, that's why I was thinking to go this route...

phplinkdirectory is not mine, I just thought I should point it out.
You should ask the developers (there is a forum on the official site)

Why spend a load of money on ASP development when you can get one free?

What features do you want that the phpdirectory product won't give you?

(PS Samsam - you don't have a sig, or it isn't showing, anyway :) )

I'm not saying it doesn't have any features I want. I just don't want it to be in PHP...

I guess I'm just trying to find out why you don't want to use PHP but would rather spend money on reinventing the wheel :)

(Ok, I misread something and made an error on my last post - samsam - ignore the PS please.)

There are several reasons actually. The biggest of them is because I want to also include something else in the site that is done in ASP. I also don't want to install PHP on my dedicated server. Etc. :)
