Hi, Recently i've been seeing some High PR 5 -9 domains, which pass pagerank test tools like checkpagerank.net, cekpr, etc., However the domains doesnt seem to have many backlinks. Check the domain in this screenshot, the domain has just 20 backlinks acc to majesticseo and its a PR9. ANd the domain passes cekpr, checkpagerank.net and other scanners My question is, did scammers figure out a new way to forge PR and bypass Fake PR checking tools?
doing a 301 redirect to some high pr site could get a domain have a fake PR. little to none backlinks sure is a warning sign.
Hello, To check if it is fake or real, simply go to google and check the info of domain. Lets say, your domain is abc123.com type: info:abc123.com if the result comes from abc123.com , it is real. if result comes from a different domain, it means, there is a 301 redirect, and pagerank is fake. hope it helps
This issue was open some months ago that directory was PR 7. I took the risk. Its PR 6 now and in the second page google search for its title. One more last month was PR 10 Its now PR 8 Part of this net came to PR -0-1-2 How they play this game????
I use opensiteexplorer.org, when checking suspected high pagerank domain has authority 1/100 and very few links, it is faked
You are wrong mate! Let me tell you how they do it ................ they redirect to a high PR domain --- acquire that high PR.............. lets say PR8 They remove the re-direction ----- let the domain get indexed on its own (pretty quick now with Google indexing everything super-fast) Then they use it to even escape your very very ancient theory of info: command.
i think the content or quality links has done the tricks..... although the site has less back links yet it has all the quality links...
A real good way too tell is to just post the link here. I'd be very wary of those claiming high PR. 99.9% of them are BS. The PR is either residual from a previously used domain, or more often than not provided by high PR embedded links from .edu sites overseas. There's quite a few people who are subscribed to DP who are notorious for this. Posting the domain will help us all out them.
Not necessarily. Again, there are people that buy OLDER existing domains that either have existing High PR or they pimp the PR levels illegitimately. Age is not the best way to determine the validity of the PR.
With directories, I've gotten to the point that if their sales pitch includes their PR score, I assume it has been manipulated.
i think as long it valid and if you won it you can make improvement starting with the backlink it self. and it will generate money at least
actualy you'll not know which a fake or valid domain this tricks is FAKE TO VALID, so they make fake PR with redirect/foward domain (ussualy with .edu/.gov site) & then domain become valid but don't buy domain with high PR, google.com PR is only PR9 domain with no traffic & backlink get PR9 or PR10 lol
