Considering that (at least ostensibly) Osama Bin Laden was responsible for the death of 3,000 innocent civilians in September 2001 I find it amazing that he is now not considered important. Remember what Bush said back in 2001 Then in March 2002 Bush admits that he "just don't spend that much time on him." http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/03/20020313-8.html Now we have the Army's highest-ranking officer and the former leader of the secretive world of Special Operations offered his thoughts on the importance of capturing or killing Osama bin Laden during a luncheon Friday. http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/news/local/16775411.htm Also, according to the fantastically honest FOX News channel on October 30th 2004 he admitted for the first time ordering the Sept. 11 attacks and accused President Bush of "misleading" the American people. My question is, why is Osama not important only 5 years after committing the worse atrocity on American soil in history by killing 3,000 innocent civilians and having admitted it for the first time less than two years ago? I am looking forward to some of the sheeple's responses to this very valid question.
Well you think he was so instead of a typical sheeple response get to work and give ya Uncle AGS an answer.
If bin Laden were as bad as Bush said he was back in 2001, then it should absolutely be a priority for America to still capture him. Suppose back in 1945 Hitler went underground and was MIA. Now suppose that it's almost 6 years later, 1951, and nobody still knew where Hitler was hiding. It's pretty hard to get my mind around that hypothetical idea. I don't think that the world would have stopped until they found Hitler, dead or alive, and broke up the Nazi party for good. Yet bin Laden is still free and at large and cells of al Qaida are going strong within the borders of some of our allies, like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. It doesn't make any sense, and Bush should have been called on flip-flopping his opinion about the importance of capturing bin Laden.
I did in the previous thread you brought this up, and failed to respond to it. But again, you don't even think he was guilty, so you should be happy the Us isn't pursuing an innocent person, right? The west didnt know, for certain, what happened to Hitler until 1993. That's when the KGB opened their files. Evidence had been released previously, but russian files were thought to be false for a long time.
Seems like I have you beaten on this one lorien. I just want to know from someone like you or GTech or Mia etc. why a man that is responsible for the deaths of 3,000 innocent civilians on 11th September 2001 is not being hunted down and brought to justice just like Bush said he would do immediately after the harrowing events of 9/11. It is not a difficult question sir.
Beaten me at what? I answered this very same question from you 2-3 days ago and you disappeared from the thread. Feel free to look at my previous posts and read it. Or not. Your choice, really. While I'm pleased you admit that you are normally "defeated" by my posts, you seem to have missed the point here
Dude you post more cobblers than GTech does! Which post is it? I ain't trawling through hundreds of your posts. Or better still, post it in this thread, I would be interested into why you think Bin Laden is no longer important considering what he did 5 years ago.
Sorry, AGS, I forget your research/reading skills are lacking. Read on this page and following pages. You can plainly see where you drop out of the conversation, or, at least respond to simple questions. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=248323&page=3
Well mate, forgive me for sounding foolish but this is a simple question that really needs some kind of answer, as I said before this is a simple question, I don't see any kind of answer in the thread you pointed me to. The fact that we haven't seen GTech, Mia, dodgy d16man, latehorn etc. in here making a reply leads me to believe that this is gonna be a tough one to answer.
I think it is deliriously wonderful that the leader of the "Nation of Islam (Zany Jihadist Faction)" is left in caves to wipe his ass with pine needles. Everyone knows, apparently him most especially, that if he lifts his head for a moment someone from Kentucky, or Seattle, or Finley, Ohio is likely to blow it off. They can characterize it any way they want... fact is he's righteously scared-shitless and not at all like those misled unfortunates he send all over the place to blow themselves (and anyone else they can) to bits and pieces. LOL.... The bearded monkey seems rather concerned with his own safety afterall.
For a man that was responsible for the killing of 3,000 innocent people I would say it is worth it. But now nobody cares about him and he's not that important. Why?
Did you even think about this? You have no idea where he is. How many troops are you willing to commit (and possibly get killed) - 10,000, 20,000 ? How many? And, if you do capture/kill him. Will it stop terrorism or al Qaeda? No. So, what point would it have served. If he's seen and gettable, get him. But chasing him around unfamiliar territory is not tactically wise. Sorry if you don't realize this. So now you think he was responsible for 9/11? Or not?
As many as it takes to bring him to justice. After all, he was the man responsible for 3,000 innocent civilian deaths on 9/11, right? You already know my thoughts on this, I am putting it to you from your perspective as you think he was the man behind 9/11. I just cannot understand how people like Bush and top Generals don't seem to want to talk about him, search for him etc. I just cannot understand it mate.
This is not a criminal operation; its a military one. Sorry if you cannot see the difference. If you kill the leader, lose 20,000 guys in the process and nothing stops; you've done nothing. Read up up Pyrrhic victory if the concept is foreign to you. You shouldn't think from my perspective. You think Bin Laden is innocent, so you should be happy Bush and Co is not pursuing an innocent person. You are happy about that, aren't you? That he's out there free? Seems like you should be.
But why did your hero Bush say that he was wanted "dead or alive" on 12th September 2001??? Then just 6 months later (March 2002) he says that he "don't spend that much time on him." I still cannot understand why Mr Bush had such a change of heart.
And I don't understand why you care. Bin Laden is innocent, right? You should be happy Bush isn't chasing innocent people around the globe. You are glad about this correct?
I care that the person responsible for all those deaths has not been brought to justice. Now we have been told that it was Bin Laden responsible for it by your superhero Bush and Bin Laden even admitted it himself. I think you can see the point I am trying to make here. I think if Bin Laden was responsible he should be brought to justice, more for the thousands of victims families above all else.
