Hi everyone. I posted originally that I was looking for a logo for $15. I realize your time is valuable and I'm increasing the value of the auction to $50.69 (please note the increase and the sexy $0.69 you get too). Essentials: * Contest ends Thursday, July 19th at MIDNIGHT. * A winner will be selected at the deadline (and maybe before). Without fail. Transparent background. Layered PSDs not accepted. * If it goes well, I'd love to have you do further contract work! What is this business? We have various media websites. We will sell press passes for journalists who want to help represent our media websites and have the identification to do it. You can get an idea of what a press pass is by doing a Google Image Search. Essentially press passes identify journalists and provide the credentials they need to access events etc. We're going with "MagicPressPass" because press passes if used correctly can be magic, helping you get into events that you wouldn't otherwise have access to. Tell me more about the logo you want? [Ideally] means that. You don't have to follow all the rules. You're the designer, not me. Ideally, the logo would have a stylized/iconized version of a press pass incorporated somehow. For example, perhaps we have an emblem logo that looks like a press pass. Perhaps the character within the pass is a wizard; or a magic hat/wand. I’m I don’t want somtehing that looks cheesy however. I’d rather emphasize what we’re selling, press passes, and have the logo include a press pass somehow. The magic is less important than the press pass aspect of our company. I want the image to inspire confidence. People will be asked to make a purchase decision on the website. The website format will likely be a squeeze page, so logo will likely be centered among the top. Ideally, there's a way to add .com when I print out stickers other stuff. But the .com will not appear on the website, just for printing purposes. Less than 3 colors ideally. Here’s a concept to get your juices flowing. IMPORTANT UPDATE: I never meant to hide this, but I am running the same contest on NamePros.com. There will only be one winner however. I want to be 100% honest and out in the open. I know you designers are taking a chance on this auction because you don't know if your work will be selected. Hi AgentX! Thanks very much for your submission. We do need to see our whole brand in the logo. We need to see "Magic Press Pass" somewhere in the mark. And i would concentrate on emphasizing the press pass aspect over the magic aspect (if you have to pick). I think is an interesting design, and I hope to see more from you!
A question on good policy... is it OK to share PM'd designs with other designers? I don't want to violate the good will of you designers doing great work on this design as I appreciate all of your efforts.
A lot of this contest has been going over PM. That's fine by me. I just want to post a list of submissions for my own benefit as well as designers. I will of course take into account who came up with each concept and give preference to the first concept creator.

FYI: If you are unable to submit a post with a link to an image hosting site, it's because NamePros is kind of wonky and won't allow it for 10 days. HOWEVER, you can ATTACH something with the paperclip icon when you reply to this thread. Please note, I DO need you to submit your design at NamePros as I *MUST* select a winner in that thread (it's required to select a winner for each contest there). From what I've seen the winner will be from DP but you all are free to post on the NamePros thread. Thanks in advance. David
Hello everyone! First of all, I want to thank everyone who entered this contest.... all of your submissions made the selection process *very* difficult. I will be having more designs contest, so please do look out for my contests (especially with the weird ending cents). At the end it was a dead tie between DeeDesign and Pixobox.
