If you want to attract a good designer, offer the job to one person, and increase the pay. Only the worst designers participate in crowdsourcing. Worse yet, if designers want to do contests, they can go to 99designs or similar sites and compete for projects that go up to $1500. What exactly do you think you're offering with your $40? If your flyer needs to be fantastic, be willing to pay an actual rate for it. Or else don't tell us how wonderful it has to be. No matter what, you're going to get $40 worth of work. Everyone else: If you insist on wasting your time on this and basically working for free, and since this is essentially a contest with no guarantee of payment to anyone, make sure you watermark anything you send in.
