Just wondering if this method would be considered spam to Google.

    Paranoid a bit after panda and penguin.

    So I made a site that I am planning to make unique youtube videos for. I am just wondering if I add a link in the youtube description of the video, would Google consider this spam? The videos would be relevant to the site.

    I don't think so. That is simple backlinking in my opinion. Video creation and submission has been used as a link building tool for ages. And since videos can take quite a while to do, I don't think Google will penalize it. I don't know if some folks will disagree with me. But as long as your site has unique content that aims to help your reader, then linking to it will not be a problem - whether it be penguin or panda.

    I also doubt it would be considered spam also since videos tend to be tough so I think your okay

    So many people do it, and you get very good traffic from YouTube, so you should be OK.
