Penguin link building

i get this article from internet , maybe this is good advice to build the link through penguin update

    ------
You may be wondering how to handle some of the recent updates such as Panda and Penguin and whatever other black-and-white animal updates (Is the Zebra algorithm, next?) Google decides to throw at us website owners.

Here's the basic answer: LINKS STILL WORK. And they work well. If links did not work, Google would not be so concerned about the effectiveness of them. Also, if Google banned every single person they thought were buying links then you could just point a bunch of links to every competitor ahead of you, get them all banned and move to #1. It just doesn't work that way.

Now, with that being said, Google is getting "smarter" about link profiling. For instance, let's say you have a site about car insurance quotes. Before these recent updates, you could just create the anchor text for 'car insurance quotes' and point a bunch of links to that anchor text and your rankings would typically rise over time (obviously this is a little over-simplified because there are hundreds of factors in Google's algorithm like content, the age of your domain, your title tags, etc. but you get the idea). What's happening now is that Google is also comparing these anchors relative to other anchors that your site is linked to. So if you have 1000 links with the anchor text 'car insurance quotes' and no other anchors or just anchors with other similar terms like 'car quotes', that looks very unnatural and typically Google will no longer count all 1000 links. They may only count a few hundred of those links now instead of 1000. This is why rankings have dropped
for some people not because the site got banned or penalized. It was simply over-optimized and Google is readjusting for that over-optimization by discounting links they think are out of whack.

So how do you determine what anchors Google is counting on your site? You can use a variety of tools including Google Webmaster Tools but we use a site called AHREFS to view the "Anchors" for our sites and for our competitor's sites (you can check it out here --> http://bit.ly/ahrefsanchortool). There are other tools too but this is the one we prefer. We're advising clients not to just optimize for terms like 'car insurance quotes' but to also sprinkle in more "natural" terms like 'click here', 'visit this website' and branding terms like 'Your Company Name' and 'www.yourdomain.com'. These can prevent you from over-optimizing your site and getting your links discounted by Google. They look "natural" because that's the way most bloggers or forum posts would link to your site if they were writing an article or post about you and your products. Also, by using a tool like AHREFS, you can also view the anchors of the top sites on Google and try to match your link profile to
    their link profile.

Link building is fine if it's done intelligently. I just hire manual link builders to drip links over time (no more than a dozen links per week). I also vary anchor text and when blog commenting always use different comment text.

Link still important, yes. But do not build junk link which are all spun/generate content from script. Try to add more quality for linking

    Great article! Thanks for sharing~

Whatever, I'm kind of new in the SEO world, and I still remember some "SEO Guide" I read last year when I got started, which says "Do not use words like 'Click Here', you are wasting your links" something like this, however, seems things are turning over here...Really a world changing all the time, isn't it?

Interesting post, but I'm not convinced the writer really knows what he's talking about. What he says in the beginning makes sense, but towards the end he seems to be running on guess work... I honestly think SEO is becoming a different animal all together and no one really knows how to treat it... But hey, I could be wrong!

In future google will take more hard step against spamming. I think new existing website are making more spam then high age domain. So in future it is more possible search engine go with experience.
    What you think?

Oh ya. I purchased some link package from fiverr and my site is number 3 after just a week. So I believe link building works. I don't know for how long it will stay though.

    Hi dess71,

I agree with you that link building is very effective for SEO and one have to do it for website's promotion. It should be qualitative and the content should be unique.

    Thanks

We have to be much more careful while choosing the back linking methods as Google is penalizing websites with spammy links.

Links still work very well, but what's even more important is the increasing factor of Social Seo signals. I've managed to rank sites using purely on page seo and good social signals. Social signals are the seo of the future as they allow usuability to be measured very well which is an important signal for the alogorithms. A good social seo campaign can yield some top page rankings.

This is basically used to create keywords that link to your website. Although SEO is an effective marketing strategy, I suggest you use ppc instead. It’s much easier to learn. I just use a software that tracks all my ppc conversions too to be on the safe side.

Nah! Just do your business right. Provide good content. Drive traffic to your site the right way and get natural links for being just awesome. I'll bet that your site will never see the sandbox in the next 10 years no matter what animal from Google comes along.
