Hey Everyone, I'm looking to find out if there are common time frames for getting out of the Google sandbox. I know it is different for everyone, but I think I'm more interested in the % of sites which get out at certain times. So I'm looking to know how long your site was sandboxed? (If you timed it) Thanks!
Well they just put me back into the Index earler this month so I've been in it, say, two weeks. It's really a pain in the butt, especially since I have so much unique content that my pages would jump to the top if I wasn't completely buried by Googs.
Hmm... so far the results are pretty even. I expected at least one of them to take a strong lead. I guess that goes to show that there isn't a set time by Google...
My site is only a couple of months old and still in the sandbox, but by the looks of these results, I could still have a long time to wait...
I find it interesting how they mention the time period 6 months to 12 months. Yet many people say their sites have been in there over 12 months.
Maybe their sites were just not well SEO'd? I wouldn't take that TW article as gospel, but I think a lot of people do mostake the "sandbox" for just a badly constructed/spammy/generally not great site
Agreed. Just not ranking well is probably conceived by many as "being in the sandbox", which is why it is hard to get accurate estimates on how long (on average) it takes to get out, or more importantly... what it takes to get out.
Rather than focusing on how to get out (Which I don't think is an easy/if at all possible task), I would rather focus on how to not get in it in the first place.
