Alright, here is the site I am promoting: boredwealth.com I just wanted some beginners advice. When I first started using the internet AllAdvantage and other paid to surf site were huge. I got in too late to make much money, but ever since I have been looking for similar programs. The problem is that paid to surf has gotten a bad name since then. This new one may tank, but I believe it has a solid foundation. It hasn't officially launched and started paying yet so I don't want to spend a lot of money on advertising, but I am willing to spend $5-$20 a month. So I need help with advertising. If anyone has promoted a similar website where did you advertise? What sites worked the best? It's free to join so it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to get sign ups, but I don't want to waste money. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Yeah I've been pondering those two options. I think I'll go for them tomorrow. I know there's a $50 bonus for adwords and a $100 bonus for yahoo so I might as well. So far I have tried: visitorboost: I got 1 sign up the first day, 5 the next and nothing for the past 4 days. I get a lot of hits, but I think its a scam. I have heard these sites use some kind of script to generate fake traffic. The sign ups were probably by the creator of the site just trying to make it look like it works. adengage: i'm getting hits, but no sign ups Thanks for the advice bob
Before you spend any money, which is a big newbie mistake that the veterans look for, you need to think about a few things. 1. What idea, product, content, service etc are you trying to sell or market? (This is big!) 2. Who would be interested in it? (Can't do this if you don't fully understand what your offering, knowing #1 will help you "sell" the idea, product, content, or service) 3. Have you searched for free forums matching content to your site. (Join and share your knowledge. If possible and they offer shared advertising, this is where you would want to purchase advertising.) 4. Look up webmasters who own like content sites. (Ask for link exchanges, you never know till you ask. Or purchase advertising on these sites you find.) 5. Make yourself different. (Now that you have done your homework and seen what others in your niche are up to, brainstorm on how to give your site something that sets it apart from the others.) These are just a few steps to get started in the right direction. And after doing all this, which costs you nothing but your time. You will have found sites that may offer paid advertising and they will be sites that customers that are interested in what you have to offer will be interested in, maximizing your advertising dollars.
