Negative effect of google update on Forums

Hi

I have a forum ( vbulletin + vbseo) which was recieving over 17.000 uniques/day . over 4 years .
However in the last time I noticed a big drop of traffic which decreased to 12.000 in only 1 month .
I wonder if it is the same for you

Iam working in 4 business websites google updatealso putted some bad effect on my websites . my keywords positions has changed dramatically my keyword was on first page before update but now it is not in top 100 results. however some of my keywords are still on same ranking.

 

If this drop you observed recently then it must be Google Panda Update or Google Penguine Penalty for over optimization for sites.

 

There are a lot of quality website got hit by Google recent update.

I too have observed sudden downfall in the rankings of my keywords after the Google update, but I think i am clean at my work and perform only submissions through ethical white hat SEO..!!

 

Panda = Content
Penguin = Backlinks
Pirannha = ???

 

Actually now a days the frequent updates of Google algorithm is making this fluctuation of the site ranking. It will stop surely if Google give us a stable algorithm to work with.

 

Yes ....I see this effect also on many forums , especially which are using Vbulletin software
There is also another factor why forums are going down : it is because of facebook which alot prefer to interact and post stuff .
so in my opinion forums will go down in the next years

 

I'd love to hear your reasoning behind this statement, do you feel this is a paticular version of vBulletin.

BTW digitalpoint is running vbulletin and I'm pretty sure their ranking hasn't dropped.

The Penguine and Panda updates did distrubed some sites in simlar fashion. i hope things are better now. cheer.

Many site got drop out of the serp.

 

Indeed most of the sites are being hurt...that was very sad.

 

I think content of your forum is largely copy paste from another websites. And please consider on your outbound links.
