Google Launches Update Targeting Webspam In Search Results

Google has announced that it is releasing a new search algorithm that it hopes will better catch people who spam its search results or purposely do things to rank better that are against Google’s publishers guidelines. Going live today, Google says it will impact about 3% of search queries.

There are so many sites effected, and ranking badly down. Did you see a drop in your rankings ?

yes I saw some changes in ranking of my articles which were pretty well listed on the 1st and 2nd page of google....They seem to have slipped back to the 3rd page now...

 

my website disappeared from 1st page to nowhere

 

my site also rank down in google. i think web server is responsible for this.

 

my all keywords are down what's the issue.

Seems like many people are affected, look like a MAJOR change. Does anyone know details about the new algorithm?

 

I think we are also very close to a pagerank update.
This algorithm is just doing it's job maybe until june.

 

LOL, this f***ing SE went totally crazy...
Along all the talking about content and quality...bla-bla, now they put on top an empty site rofl.
Their results were crappy since the first panda update with garbage sites on first page, while others even such as uefa's official site were temporarily nowhere...
They are really ruing the web. I mean not just our sites, but the results for the people who are actually looking for some quality info/service. Pity...
Good there are still people using other SE's like yahoo, yandex, bing....
As someone said in searchengineland - maybe they are trying to make webmasters use adwords with all those fluctuations of the SERPs.

 

Has to be som sort of bug since only the title and url are related to that keyword. There are no meta tags and worst of all, there is no content.

 

I think, in general, all the recent results of google are one HUGE bug...the entire SE is a bug in my opinion
...and these rankings for those keywords are just one example from millions.

Yes, our some sites ranking drop from first page to Google 5-6 pages, its a major impact about search queries, not only 3%

 

does it permanent result or it just dancing? it's really strange !! or is it a strategy from google, so many websites will use adwords ???

 

Hi, i´m from Spain. (first excuse for my bad english).

I see an importan change in all my website, webs have more than 3 years, and webs news with 4 months... all with negative changes and losing keys positions. I´m worried about it, i hope this change are not permanent

Now it will tough for SEO guys to rank site Key words on Google. This update is comes with disasters for my sites. I have lost my all the sites ranking for major KW's. Don't know how to retain my lost KW position.

 

it hitted very badly on my websites. my keywords moved from first 30 to not in 100.
