Hello everyone, I am trying to devise some type of way of capturing screen shots of a website given any specific URL through the query string. It also needs not have a que time. When it is called, I need it to take the snapshot and return the image. I am not looking for a remote service, just one for myself. This will not be called thousands upon thousands of times, but rather when a user of my site makes a change to something in their data. I have been searching google up and down for some type of browser or solution or tutorial to doing this; and I have ran across of a few that run off of windows, but does anyone know any solutions for linux? If I could find a decent browser that could take thumbshots with different screen resolutions, and of dynamic query strings everything would be money! I know this can be done, as it is done at http://www.artviper.com/tools.php though very unfortunately he does not release the code. If anyone knows any tutorials, resources, scripts or anything that could help me finish this project it would be greatly appreciated; I for one have almost given up hope until I found that site above. Maybe I can purchase a private version of it from him
I didn't try any of these, but one of them might work. http://www.zubrag.com/forum/index.php?topic=55.0
