site disappeared from serps

I have read these posts many times and I guess it is my turn. Since yesterday morning, my site has been completely removed from the serps. I only rank for my domain name and that is it. It is not like I lost rankings, my site is totally gone. I have heard that google did an update on Feb 7th. I haven't done anything different/drastic/black hat etc. I am very upset about this. Is there anyone I can contact or am I just screwed here? The site is the first in my sig.

    Anyone else affected?

My site was number one for the search term "unblock websites" a few days ago but now it has disappeared from the results.

That's happened to me before only to have everything reappear one or two days later. SERPs is always changing, but a complete drop out is odd especially if it continues.

One of mine is also gone.

I would not worry yet. After a few days they usually come back. Sometimes the new position is better, sometimes worse.

If a few weeks pass and the site does not return, then it is probably time to dig deeper.

Nothing is in vain if you gave it your best shot. Give it a few days and continue to work on bringing in fresh content and traffic. Don't let what Google does ruin things for you.

I've seen the same thing happen over the last couple of weeks. No big deal, it comes back in a few days. It is the nature of the beast.

Thanks everyone ~ you all have made me feel better. Now, it is time to take a break from the computer and go spend time with the family. That always helps me put things in perspective. :)

it's an intresting point but are you sure that you have not banned from google with a reason (duplicate content , etc.)

You could also be in the infamous sandbox.

Check your logs and see if GoogleBot is hitting your site.

If it's not, you're most likely sandboxed. Once GoogleBot returns you may be back in the search results in a month or so.

Rankings were not affected. One of my keywords is still returning a page that was put into supplemental result. But traffic is now starting to go down..

One of my main sites also took a beating these last days...

On many keywords it moved from page 1 to page 6 or worse !!

I've heard that the sites return after a few days ? Hope it's going to happen

Any clue on what could be the issue ?

Well my site disappeared too from google but hoping it will be back too, been like a month now.

Once my other site disappeared for like 3 months but it did come back, didnt effect pr either. Dunno the reason but its happening to lots of sites.

So, i guess all you can do is keep waiting.

It is quite regular for sites/serps to disappear for a period of time during google updates and then reappear. Once you start getting serps that are based on links that are roughly over a year old, this seems to stop happening to those serps. I think it is related to results being rolled back to prior states while updates are made. If you have been seoing your site, when the serps come back you will usually have made progress.
