Yahoo Update of Ranking?

I have just noticed a large jump on my keywords on yahoo from literally nowhere to nice positions. But this begs the question how much traffic will I get from this new attention? What are people's traffic split between google/yahoo?

Mine is: 85/15 (google to yahoo).

Same has happened to me. I now have 2 pages in the top 10 rankings for my keyword. Not much of a jump in traffic though. My ranking in google is currently #50

Big jumps for me to. I think Yahoo has had a major update recently.

Is there a tool similar (I know it would not be as good) that would check Google and MSN ranks say for keywords and domains? Anything even in the same universe as Shawn's Keyword Position Tracker?

I have a hard time telling if I have moved around in Yahoo or MSN.

i noticed i was suddenly getting alot of traffic from yahoo - and msn - and was high in the serps since the first week of this month i think.

i too would like to know if there is a tool that tracks yahoo and msn...

Yahoo and MSN both updated recently, they couldn't have been better to all of mine.

Ive seen where people say they are different, using similar algos, but I think they must be using yahoo's now.. I have an affiliates link pointing to my site in one situation on both engines, holding the same positions, directly below the same, non-affiliate link.

I'm sure MSN is using Yahoo's results - just they are added a couple of little tweaks on top possibly

i also would be interested if a tool exists. would be a pain to find my clients sites within search results.

in terms of a tool for yahoo/msn rankings i was looking for one too - and found one - if you aren't specifically after online software "Web CEO" is pretty good - it'll check your rankings across all the main engines (end several of the non main engines) - you can also set it up to check different nationality versions of engines - which is useful for me cos i can monitor my positions at msn/yahoo.co.uk aswell as the .coms.
it'll also check your link pop across all the main engines - and'll give u advice on how to optimise your page - but unfortunately it is the usual not very helpful advice you seem to get from all automated page checkers. (it's ok for those who are very new to it i suppose).

one of the things with shawns tool - is that is queries googles API - so if you wanted you could check your rankings 1,000 a day if you wanted - without penalty - with tools that query the other engines as they don't have api's i try not to use it too often - altough it is probably safe as it says itself it queries the engines at random intervals - to mimic a surfer (this sometimes slows it down - but you can change the settings so it goes much faster). i say this as apparently there have been instances of IP addresses being banned from search engines who have been found to be using automated querying programs - although i asked about web CEO a efw days ago and everyone who used it said it was OK.

My homepage was #4 for a while for my keyword, and now it is nowhere to be seen in the top 100.
Has anyone else experienced this in the last few days?

No big changes since this thread started back 8-18 for my keywords.

Hi.
Yes, I also saw a jump in one of my Yahoo results.
I went from number 18 to number 2.
With this came a little more traffic. About ten more unique visitors a day.

iabout 2 days ago i dropped a couple of places off the top spot for one of my less copmetetive keywords - had been there for around a month other than that - no change
