Which site do you think is better in it's design?

Hi,

I have http://www.affiliateseeking.com which is an affiliate programs directory. I then also have http://www.1hostseeking.com which is a web hosting directory. Both sites used the same affiliateseeking.com web design apart from 1hostseeking.com's color scheme was different and that was it.

I have now totally redesigned 1hostseeking.com and would like to know which design you think is better.

Do you think affiliateseeking.com has the best design or 1hostseeking.com

Also, all comments are welcome, good and bad.

http://www.1hostseeking.com/ - is really eye-catchy. The other one is slightly irritating... ( may be my mood)

 

I need more votes and comments, please keep them coming. I will then know whether or not affiliateseeking needs a re-design.

Also I prefer the comments mainly about affiliateseeking.

 

I prefer the second layout design because it looks cleaner and the header design is much more professional than the first site.

I am a little surprised at that comment, I wouldn't have thought someone would have said the 2nd site is not very good. OK's it's not the best site in the world, but it is much better than a majority of sites online. There are some really good sites online and then there are a rather lot of poor looking sites.

Anyway, different people have different tastes, I could see that by looking at the design of your sites in your sig.

I am still looking for further comments.

2nd is better.. I find the blue header distracting and its hard to see the links under it.

 

The blue banner on the affliate site horrible, it ruins the look of whole site. Other than that both sites seem to be well thought out and as far as I can tell from a brief trial seem to work well.

 

It looks as if affiliateseeking may be in for a re-design then by the sounds of things.

Also, do you think affiliateseeking is better or worse with it's design than most other online affiliate program directories.

I know there are some good designed ones, but then there are also alot of poorly design affiliate program directories.

It's here. I have now done a total redesign of AffiliateSeeking.com. Could you please take a look at it especially the people that previously have seen it so that you can tell me if the design is much better than the previous design or not.

Also, I would like to see which site you think is better designed now. Is it still 1hostseeking or is it now affiliateseeking.com

I even found 3 errors on the homepage in the 1hostseeking site just now after looking at it. I have now corrected those errors and you still prefered the 1hostseeking one.

The thing is, it doesn't matter how you design a site, not everybody will like it. Everybody has different tastes.

So when re-designing you have to try and see what the comments are like now compared to what they were like when you asked about the previous site. All looks good anyway.

 

Yep, second is better, though as you say they are very similar. Partly because the second one has a graphical logo that gives it more identity.
