Hi Guys, I'm new to this whole SEO scene. My boss has asked me to try to get our site up the rankings and I've done some bits but was wondering whether you guys may be able to look at our site and see if you can see anything i've (definatley) missed or done wrong? If you could I would appreciate it! www.consortfrozenfoods.co.uk Many Thanks!
Make sure each page has a unique title. For example...the confectionary and chips page should be called "confectionary and chips"... Get as many links as possible...determine what terms you would like to rank for first..then have that be your anchor text..(the words that are in the link itself)
Go to Overture the tool available here is a great. http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ Enter "Ice Cream" into the search box and the top terms will appear that you want the search engines to see on your pages. These numbers aren't entirely accurate, and they only equal roughly one third of total internet traffic, but they're nothing to scoff at either. This is the best free tool you'll find to do some keyword research.
Thanks for that! That has provided some interesting information which will help me to promote those search terms on our website. Thanks again!
I have a few tips for you.. 1. Use the digital point suggestion tool to find relevant keywords with lots of impressions. 2. Put those keywords in yout Title Tag, Meta Description and then in various places on you pages. Use H1, H2, H3 tags to add weight to you keywords on your page. 3. Write a descriptive Meta Description that will make internet users want to visit your site. Often the search engine will show your meta description as the description under the link to your site. 4. Get lots of inbound links and try to get your keywords in the anchor text. Hope this helps.
I have a new Utah SEO Company site that I am going to add a tutorial to. Feel free to give me a link if my tips help your site to rank.
