I've been noticing that a lot of folks have more than one blog for the purpose of link building. I was wondering if it matters whether you have multiple blogs under one user login (blogger.com) or if it's more effective to create multiple logins (one for each blog) so that Google sees them as being separate. Any opinions on this will be greatly appreciated.
Linking from blogs from the same domain might not have the same results as linking form blogs on seperate domains.
Yeah, because you can have a blogger account with multiple blogs posting to multiple domains about completely different topics. So you and a friend/family member/etc. can have completely different domains and one shared blog account. It wouldn't be fair if Google discounted you just because you are sharing a Blogger account.
True, but their search ranking has to make some kind of sense, otherwise it wouldn't give relavent results. right?
One more thing, if I were to set up some domains for blogging, other than linking to them from an existing domain, how would G know they exist? At least at blogger.com, G knows because it's their system.
Nevermind, I just found that at long as it's listed with blogger, it will have a link to it and G should follow it.
The Google crawler will consume your atom.xml feed. Many feel that links from different domains are worth more than numerous ones from a single domain. Google will find you xml whether you host it on blogger or not.
It all depends on the page rank. Linking to a blog having a pr of 7 is better than linking to 200 blogs having a pr of 4. But linking to many blogs is a good way of making sure that your page gets crawled regularly.
