Suggestion to have all infraction threads stopped from being started

:) hi all , now i am not going to slag anyone of here , mods or members but the amount of infraction threads that are popping up everyday is starting to get out of hand.
i know people start the threads because they believe they should not have been given an infraction.
but once that first post is made it starts an all out slanging match , people are then given red rep from other members and more arguments start .
I think it has come to a point were infraction threads should just be stopped all together .
any infraction problems that you may have should be dealt with in pm with a mod . they should not be made public.

now before anyone starts slagging me off for making this post , dont bother , i have been thinking about it for the last couple of days and it seems a really good way of stopping all the arguing and red reps flying round.

I have infractions - for bumping and posting in the wrong section but hey who does not have them , there is no need to start a thread about recieving one - PM A MODERATOR and ask , you will get your answer.

So i say stop them all together , and keep it all in pm's

    cheers karl :)

could be a good alternative , then if you want to rant you can , and if you dont just stay out of the rant section :)

exactly , people are getting more infractions or red rep because of posting about it , that would not happen in a private message to a mod or admin .

What a bunch of crybabies... We have a policy in our TOS against starting a thread regarding infractions, removed / deleted / edited threads, and other such whining.

First offense = warning, Second offense = ban. Simple as that.

i think that is a bit harsh m8 , i dont want people to be banned for starting infraction threads , i just think it should not be posted for all to see , as it causes arguments and people giving out red reps :)

Personally, I think Shawn should create a rule that infractions should be kept private at all times. You receive in fractions privately because it is meant to be private. I think starting these kind of threads should receive more infractions that do not expire.

And also, I'm fine with members getting banned for starting these kind of threads because starting these threads just shows that they cannot follow the rules.

:) good for you , all i am trying to say is this - stop the threads all together , they just cause slanging matches and people end up with a boat load of red reps.
i cant sem to grasp why so many people are still posting about infractions when they can see what happens just by looking at the other infraction posts ( THEY GET SLATED )

This is the REAL politics section of the forum!

He is right though - if you don't like the section, why visit it?

    1 of 2 things be done. 1. You get an infraction for starting those threads. or 2. Create sub forum in suggestions and feedback for it. Personally I like to see them rant on and on. I am in for 2. (;
