Rediculous infraction...

    Hi,

In my thread, i was UNSURE what was the correct forum for it. I CLEARLY POSTED these words 3 lines before end of the post, and the lines are still there...

    THREAD: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=2274805#post2274805

I didn't mean to post in the WRONG forum DELBERATLY. I was UNSURE which forum it should go in, SO i decided to put it in the forum i thought was RELEVENT.

On every single goddamn forum, when i am unsure where i should or should NOT post, i ALWAYS add that disclaimer line, with the assumition that my thread will be moved WITHOUT infraction, as it is clearly makes it obvious that i am NOT sure.

I am extremely disappointed with digitalpoint with this infraction.

AND YOU MOVED INTO THE WRONG FORUM! I am NOT asking for reviews!

How many mistakes CAN you make in one DAY?

    Sorry, this is disgraceful.

    Rob

Put the disclaimer at the top, you can't expect us to read every single line of every single post in every single thread of every single forum here.

    Where did you post it?

LOL, we have a DMOZ fan here. It was in the DMOZ/ODP forum, but i think it should be in the annocements/solitions for directorys.

I did post the disclaimer, so there really isn't an excuse. My email shocked me!

    LOL

You want to know what's ridiculous? Starting a thread in the wrong category stays longer on me than swearing at other member, and making a duplicate thread is longer than "harassing" another member because he keeps trying to scam people!

It's weird lol I just don't understand it

Excuse me? I clearly stated in my thread that i was unsure which catagory i was to post the thread in, so i posted it in what i assumed to be the correct catagory, but it gets removed from the assumed-correct catagory into a totally incorrect catagory, and i get an infraction on top.

Consider that you were in the situation i am in now, What would YOU do?

    Rob

Edit: whoever red repped for the excuse 'grow up' needs to grow up as well, if you not interested in a thread, then dont reply, and dont bother handing out red reps for no reason. This is not a stupid thread, because i have been treated badly by correct authority, and the last thing i need is someone on my back..

Like I said. Same goes with everyone who posted in the wrong category - whether accidental or deliberate, or even if you thought it was right and didn't know there was a better one.

Yes and well, get used to the red when you post in here, especially the anonymous red ;)

I think I'm the only person who uses my name when I red rep someone

A tip: If you ever make a thread and you're not sure if it's in the right board, report it [IMG] and ask to have it be moved to the correct board if it's in the wrong one.

Is there like a list of how long these last? This is my guess so far based on what I have gotten and heard others get:
    - Swearing - 1 month
    - Affiliate Link - 1 month
    - Duplicate Thread - 3 month
    - Wrong Category - 3 month
    - Harassing/Attacking another member - 3 months

There are many more, I can't think of any at the moment, bit of a brain freeze
