MAjor update in blogger

Did you saw the updates that blogger had did yesterday all the blogs had been changed their url eg; my blog url http://discoverhimachalpradesh.blogspot.com/ had been changed to http://discoverhimachalpradesh.blogspot.in/.
Does it had changed world world and one more imp thing that i had noticed is that the page rank for all the blogs had gone and they are not showing cache too did it had happened to your blogs too ??

 

Yes I just saw it today and i am totally surprised how it has been done. I have my own blog it has also same url which you have posted above. By the way thanks for sharing such kind of updates.

Yeah.. me too noticed this change yesterday.. I think this will affect our seo. That means in my case alexa page rank for .in is far away from .com. The only way to solve this problem may be changing in to a custom domain.

One of my blogs had a .au added to the end of it. Think it's just a technical glitch or something.

 

is it happening to blogspots worldwide ? i guess there is no news from google side. Just a glitch...

 

yes I checked that too and got a lil frustrated seeing the page rank go off... I believe this has just happened in India

Maybe this only applicable to india blogspot, not the other countries

 

I am also having a feeling that the change is only applicable for blogspot in India. If that is the case then it is going to harm your blogspot ranking, as your blog will have two identical copy. So the Canonical issue will surely come up.

 

obviously the seo of the present blog will be affected. but, the old url is redirected to the new means then there will be a chance to escape from the loss. even i am searching for the sources that why the change in the address.

I think it is because the domain is blogspot.in

That is why all the pagerank is lost.

You shouldn't use blogger anyway.

Find other blog provider.

 

Mine is still the same. I guess it's only major to a specific region...
