What script, to run a mediafire-like ? Ready to pay, and, yes, I read the forum first

    Hello,

(First : YES, I have read that thread, and a few others. But since I have very precise needs - nobody but the admin allowed to upload, and no revenue sharing, mainly -, I think it's worth being asked as a standalone question)

I know this may look like a weird question when megaupload got axed, filesonic closes everything down, and the affiliates are desperately hesitating between giving up or taking the risk to stay online with an affiliate program, and be the ones who'll proffit when the storm calms down.

But I'm not after the straight "evil" affiliation idea, precisely, and I have small, modest needs. I'm ready to pay for that script, quality doesn't come for free, and keeping software up to date is a real job.

I'm making a long description, just in case, I'm new to this and, when gathering info, better write too much than not enough :)

    - I would need a script to run an equivalent of rapidshare or mediafire, meaning : the file hosts that do NOT share revenue and do NOT incite to piracy.

    - Only one member would be allowed to upload files, the admin. No need to allow other members to share stuff, they're here to download, and only download.
It could be compared to a webshop specialized in files distribution and in encouraging the users to go premium, a cyberlocker with only one uploader.
The users would be allowed to create accounts, but with "downloader-profile" accounts.

    - Money wise, the only requirement would be to be able to take payments to collect money, for a determined duration, or on a recurring basis. Credit card, and the like.

For that kind of profile, would you have recommendations, maybe ?
Thanks if you can help :)

Sigh, nobody knows ? As I wrote, I'm not trying to stick to free scripts, even paying ones are fine by me, serious business means serious partners.

    Hey,

I do have the very same idea but i could not get any good script, I did found one but it has got some bugs.. I have paid like $22 but got a refund. Thou i still have the files with me which i can use. The only problem is that it`s NOT working when your downloading any uploaded file.

The design is clean and minimal... Great features... Btw, i do have a GREAT domain www.megaupload.com.hk which i have redirected for awhile till i get the problem fixed.

If you are interested i can send you the files, maybe you can also work on fixing it if you know PHP..

Haha, no, thank you for the offer, but I'll pass, I'd rather have a fully working script than a broken untrustworthy site that I'd have to fix myself with doubts concerning my own fixing skills :)
