Hi guys, I need some honest opinions on a new site I launched. It's a men's lifestyle/product/cool stuff site called sofreakingcool.com that tries to introduce people to cool stuff using a little humor. I wanted to get feedback on a few things. 1. How do you feel about the design. Is it something that appeals to you? What's missing. What could be added. What could be taken away. 2. Is this a site you would visit? Does it interest you? 3. Can anyone think of ways to get people more involved besides the old "ask a question" etc. 4. Are there any features you would like to see? Thanks in advance for your help.
That's one of the ideas I was throwing around. Right now I'm working on figuring out how to code custom registration pages for Wordpress.
Simply cool site.....there must be voting and review of your products so that everybody get to know better about your products.
Looks pretty bad ass... Just keep the content flowing and you're on your way up. Thought about seriously monetizing it?
Cool site indeed. Was the design ummmmmm 'inspired' by uncrate dot com ? I would add a opt in form on the right side bar just so you can capture your visitors and start building a relationship with them. Something like Aweber. Good to see you have a Facebook page. And come on!!! How come I don't see a Porsche Boxster Spyder in your rides section. Add a review on that please
1. I like the design. Crisp, clean and easy to read. 2. Yes, this is a site that I would visit. It does interest me 3. You could run contests for free stuff down the road. 4. It would be cool to have a Home page where the latest blogs for each section was displayed.
brilliant site! i hope your getting a lot of traffic because your articles are well written and entertaining!! better than 90% of the other sites out there
Trying to figure out a way to monetize without overdoing it. One of the goals was to only place well designed relevant ads. Uncrate was one of the sites that inspired along with a few others. Wanted to see if I could take what I liked from each of them. Aweber is a good idea. Though I'm not familiar with how to design really good looking newsletters. Reviews are also part of what I want to eventually get into. We had a contest for a Lacie CooKey drive which turned out pretty well. I definitely would like to figure out how to show the latest posts from each sections. Probably incorporate that into the nav. Thanks. I hope eventually to get a lot of traffic. Still trying to figure out how to market the site better.
Answering your questions honestly - it's so freaking cool website and has the stuff which is interesting and exclusive. I think I'll become a permanent visitor of it. Don't stop on this achievements!
Nice website! However I would lose the all uppercase and large font of "search products" in the right top corner. Unless this is one of the main areas you want to emphasize. My eyes were immediately drawn to that area and you've lost few valuable seconds of a visitor’s time on your website. Also watch the discrepancy of font size between your menu items and sidebar titles. Again, I think you emphasize the wrong words. Hope this helps.
