How importan can be Article Marketing for SEO

I would like to know how important it is to have article marketing for SEO.

1) How does it helps to build backlinks.
2) A lot of websites offer packages like they will submit a article to 50 or 100 article directories. Is that strategy good or bad? Is it black hat marketing (like search engines dont like it) or does it really gives results because they will be submitting a single article to 50/100 different places which can be called as a duplicate.

Article marketing is no where near as strong as it use to be... but still has its value, i dont use it like that though i write one article and submit it 1-10 places.. thats it. It only takes 10 ish min to type one up and you can offer good partners original content for links with the articles you write.... overall i think its important still

 

Article marketing has lost its potency.
1) Submitting an article to a dofollow directory gets you a backlink.
2) Rolling the same article on multiple directories will do you no good. What’s ultimately gonna happen is...only a copy of article will appear in search results and rest be labelled as duplicate. Please don’t expect any fireworks outta article marketing. It is passe, try something better like blogging or guest posting...

In my opinion article marketing is really beneficial in case of seo and also for getting high traffic for your web site. If you use keywords in title and in article then it will help in getting high rank for those keywords and if article is informative as well as interesting then it really attract traffic. But in case of article marketing we have to submit a unique article in each article site. Besides these it creates backlinks, when we use resource box for describing our site.

Hope my opinion would be quite beneficial to you.

 

As many say, article marketing is becoming obsolete after panda.

 

Agree'd. But still don't under estimate it. On average, we do about 5 articles a day for clients and it still works like magic

Google Panda algorithm focus on the content that should be relevant to your site but besides this, it will also look -where the reader is sharing the content. IT will really effect your ranking and moreover it will ignore the low ranking sites.

article marketing is still good to do but it certainly isnt the best way to get some link juice flowing. Duplicate content simply wont rank your site and google is a big stickler about dupe content lately. This means you need original content and lets face it if your going to create quality content there are better places to put that content over article directories.

1 high authority high quality link is worth hundreds maybe even thousands of crappy backlinks, remember that and you will do well.

take 1 hour to get 1 quality link instead of 1 hour to get 500 low quality and youll do well.

for example try searching google for "guest post" or "write for us" and ad your niche keyword. Then write a guest post and include an anchored link back to your site. Use your articles for guest posts and youll go far.

But you have to get a little more tricky now days. Get your hands on a simple software that will mix up some of the words inside an article so it wont be an exact copy and use them for different article directories
