I'm not sure what "amazon script" you are talking about. You can sign up for their affiliate program here which allows you to build product links with your affiliate id. You can also register for their webservices program which will allow you to build more complex applications to interface with Amazon's website. There are also lots of third party scripts out there to do various things.
You need to sign up for AWS (Amazon Web Services) if you want to pull product info through their APIs. At the AWS site they have plenty of information for programmers and some links to various free and commercial scripts/products for various languages. A few minutes searching at google will also come up with many alternatives. I'm in the process of testing amazOOP but haven't gotten far enough into it to give you much feedback. It's PHP-based and open source. From the home page: Anyone else have experiences with amazOOP they can share with me?
If you would like to run forum, news and other additional stuff then get php-nuke from phpnuke.org and get amazon module from http://preciogasolina.com/nukeamazon.html Amazon associates has a list of applications you should see...
Google Amazon AWS scripts....that should get you going. Mr. Rat's script is a pretty popular one too.
http://www.mrrat.com/ is the place to get the basic script and Nintendo, who posts here, has a nifty script (I've heard -- haven't used it) for adapting MrRat's script.
