Cool - can't wait for my little tool to be released :D What you do need to remember though its if you link build too quickly it can potentially have a negative effect in the search engines!!!

That's a solid warning for new sites. You'll get sandboxed and shouldn't be going that headstrong until you're established. Of course you're probably not going to be showing up anyways if your new, but should be more focused on strong thematic links.

Go for manual submission, choose your quality directory and submit your website... That's the only way. .. (imo)

The tool has already been released, and it can be downloaded from here: http://www.digixmas.com/docs/setup.exe

You MUST register an account with them for every site in which you want to submit. (And use a different email.)

I used it a long standing site, www.robertall.com, which has been online since mid-05, and i am hopeing it will push my PR up a bit more.

Thanks Robert for kind words. How you can miss it, we have promoted our tool here for long six months ago :).
It's not necessary. You can have multiple sites in single account.
DPers prefer manual submission, that's why our tool didn't get appropriated feedbacks here.
Your tool is welcome, Sabian. But from my experiences, it's not easy to convince DPers :D . And there are already many such tools, some are free also. (Our tool is also free, only we charge for using of our original directory list :D ).
You can't get quick links by submitting your sites to free directories.
    Regards.

With this tool, I think no webmaster will be interested in those manual directory submission services.

If the submissions are automated, how do you think directory owners will feel about the tool? Will they welcome these submissions?

What is the owner of this tool doing to insure quality submissions versus spam? Is there a way a directory owner can opt out of receiving automated submissions?

I can see your point on the spam issue, and honestly, I really didn't want to bother to reply about it because I'm laughing over here knowing I am fighting the spam and those who are investing in me are winning.

I just tried out the tool and it is a great idea, but I did notice that on the free trial of 150 directories I had a failure rate of around 50%+. I don't think I would consider buying an upgrade unless the trial showed remarkable improvement.

I just did a second submission and got a much higher rate of success (around 90%).

If there is no opt out for directory owners, I would suggest directory owners do not support this tool. It would be great if the owners of this tool would take the responsibility to add this feature to their tool.

    Hi, dvduval.
I'm sorry for late response for your post. I'm owner of this tool.
Our tool is semi-automated, not automated, even in quick mode users don't see the browsers because of hidden. The tool only simulates the user's mouse-clicks.
Dozens directory owners have requested us to add their dirs to our list after testing out the tool.
I think your phpLD is great (or greatest), but the directories with phpLD sometimes get spammed, because of another reason. I would like to use this chance to report to you about this.
Please, be patient and give me a day for testing again and making the report.
Also, visit our support forum at our site. You can see the forum, when directory owners can request about inclussion/exclussion of their directories.
    Regards.

I would like to look over directories before i submit sites to them. Some directories use redirects and i will not add my urls to them.

Sometimes google will even list the redirect instead of the actual url.

The forum does have an opt-out section, which I would have gladly used if there had been a large surge in spam listings, after having two added the other week but it's barely noticeable to the point of invisiblity.

I had a look at the script. I like it pretty good, but still I am a little worried about the spam issue, so it would be reassuring to know this is something that is being addressed.
