Ok I got an infraction but for what?

I got an infraction which says bumping.. and says private.

The infraction was received yesterday and I made only one post yesterday and that to was a question to someone who started the topic.

What is this private bumping now????? Mods can give infractions for bumping even when no post was bumped??

I would like to know which post I was given the last infraction for.


The definition for bumping as stated in this forum:

- Bumping thread - Bumping is when you reply to your own thread with the sole purpose of bumping it to the top of the forum. Also, a worthless reply to old threads can also be considered bumping.


My post was a question, and a very genuine one at that. Awaiting a reason if you mods will bother or else its k. getting tired

 

that's stupid...I got one too a while back...pretty laughable, like a housing association....silly mods think it's some sort of honor, they get power hungry...bumps are fine, as long as you aren't doing every day

 

Thanks for the reply Smyrl, but if you recall the post lowered my bin from $300 to $250.

It informed possible buyers that there are no reg users. It informed the reason for the basic content & also that the payment is only possible via paypal.

Reason i mentioned at the start of the post itself, is I realised I should have mentioned these details when i started the auction itself.

However, I take back my first post in this thread.

Nah, its not possible to check a users history and then see if they are regular bumpers. There are posts coming up every second here.. I dont think any mod would have that much time.

But yes sometimes, I do think unjustified infractions are giving.

 

just ignore it, means nothing really as long as you dont keep being annoying to the mods

I don't think mods want to find people to give infraction to, so if you get them, they are probably well deserved - if it was a mistake you made learn from it and move on - the infraction won't ruin your life.
