Wow, PR7 with only one page and no links listed in Google, that's impressive

I checked it's backlinks, 0 from all search engines, G's cache indicates it expired last month, so I'm guessing the BL's have disspared because of that. But I can't figure why it's a PR7?

I checked it, and wondering about it because I'm sure like others a PR7 in your porfolio would be nice.

Tommy don´t touch it with a barge pole. There is a way to fake PR. Do a search on DP and you´ll see.

I think expired domains don't lose their PR until the next update, however in the last few days I seen some expired domains on ebay lose their PR and go to zero during the auction. I wouldn't be surprised if google was monitoring ebay actions. Without any backlinks, it is sure to lose all of its toolbar PR with the next update - and with no backlinks, it isn't passing PR anyway.

    Careful...

Check the *indexed* pages.. This domain was redirected to a yahoo subdomain to get the pr7. Guaranteed to lose PR on the next update, if not get penalized.

textlink - I hope you just bought this as an expired domain. But in either case it's deceptive to sell it as a true pr7.

Well I'm guessing since it was 'fishy' to begin with, that caused me to check back-links, etc, others might want to research it before buying.

But.... I have to agree with the actual auction, what if some newb goes surfing and finds it? Who knows.

    Good thread people.

When I was a newbie here I tried to sell a pr7 doman. I didnt spoof it with 302 or whatever I just registered the domain and never did anything with it but linked to it. I still have 6 other domains like it that are pr7. They have survived 2 google updates now and still are pr7.

I tried to sell 1 on here and got alot of bad rep. I was like negative quite a bit. I was not trying to decieve anyone, especially for a few hundy....

I was just really uneducated myself on how it worked.

    It does happen...

If you are gonna fake PR you should stick with about a 5 cuz anything more would be double checked immediately.

Yeah, but was there substantial evidence showing that the domain was in fact PR7 (ie. backlink data that could be tracked)?

I didnt see any evidence of backlinks which is why I posted when I gave shoemoney a hard time. However, thats history and shoemoney has shown himself to be a very valuable member here

I see the seller removed the link to his ebay auction and instead of stoping the auction, just changed the description after he found out it wasn't a true PR7 to say he isn't resonsible if the PR7 rank drops. Sound like fraud to me.
