Some one started a thread on 1-25-2007 reporting a PR export. I posted on the thread report that indeed my site just had dropped from a PR8 to PR7. So I know for sure there was an update. I added the update to my update list and then later I see the link is dead. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=227627 No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator I looked on a number of forums and don't see any report it. Here is my entry. http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html#table So what happened to the above link? And was there a update or not?
dhruv37: >>>Definately PR update was there as many of the sites have changed PR. Ok I am not talking about the Jan 10th PR expert that Matt Cutts reported. http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/infrastructure-status-january-2007/ I am talking about the one that was after than that started on Jan 25th.
Hello Bob, I am also talking about the same. On 25-Jan-2007 lots of site have PR update. Many sites gain and many sites lost there PR on 25-Jan-2007.
dhruv37: >>>I am also talking about the same. Ok great so I am not loosing it. So where on DP was this reported. Are they putting all Pagerank updates into one thread now?
Bob, Most of the PR threads were merged into one big PR thread. Look for a thread with thousands of posts. The grandaddy of threads is found here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=228197&highlight=PR+Update Your post seems to be here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2184873&postcount=1970.
Smyrl: Yes but I disagree with this approach. I have a list of all the pagerank updates/exports for 7 years. I make a link to a forum for each PR expert. I think one large thread is to hard to access the data for each update. I would like to see each expert with a date. Google Pagerank Backline Export 1-25-2007 For the algo update it should be Google Algorithm Update 1-25-2007 Any one else feel this way?
Ok as no other forum I can find is reporting this I placed this thread in a link on my 7 year list of Pagerank updates. I trust that this thread will not be removed. http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html#table
There are two viewpoints. 1) Thread should not be merged because it mix up pr updates and lot of members get confuse. 2) Because lot of pr update threads are created daily so there should be only one about pr update to reduce noise everywhere. But i vote for (1) {i am sure if there would be a poll option 1 would get 60%+} anyways .. there was definately pr update and some pr0 sites {new sites} got pr and old sites also shown some changes. i think same day dp got PR7 too from PR8. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=230249
i am sure there was a PR export on both jan 10 & jan 25, 1 of my site got PR 2 on jan 10 and one more site got PR 2 on jan 25

I don't think #2 is a valid view point nor one this is thought out. There is on the average one PR export ever three months. The first thread started on the PR export should be renamed to "Goggle PR Export xx-xx-xxxx" What is done with the other PR expert threads created daily does matter to me. I don't think one thread ever ~90 days it going to be to much. Also the idea of adding all threads on one subject into one thread is lame. Who wants to try to go thought a list of 140 pages looking for some thing.
This is no longer true now. First PR change was seen on 9th Jan and then second change was seen on 25th January. Members start new thread when they see PR change .. Yep its better way to rename thread with date like i did here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2077620&postcount=261 but it was later on merged with 6 days old thread with no green signal of pr update seen by others except thread starter.
Yes, I agree, the second update deserved it's own thread, but there were still alot of folks that had not seen the first one... admittedly, I thought some of the first posts for the 25th update were false reports - people just noticing the update from the 10th. Basically, it is confusing with the 2 so close together, I don't know that the mods were completely aware of a secondary update when it was merged. Getting good reports from others is tough as well, since many did not notice or realize that the January 10th update had come and gone... only to have a second one 10 days later. If I told you in beforehand that it would happen, you'd call me nuts. But then again, look at August 24th - September 28th. Lots of people missed the August rollout, or did not see their site change, perhaps dismissed it since there was so few sites that got PR changed. That was a short period between updates, and obviously something was wrong on August 24 that was corrected in September. It just happened quicker this time around.
It's probably the continuation of the PR update. I've wrote something on this PR update in my recent blog. I think the next PR update would be mpre or less in the next 3 months again. I feel sorry that your website drop to PR7. Anyway PR7 still good PR.
Mong: >>>This is no longer true now. I think this is still true. Matt Cutts yas said they are done on a quarterly. Since they went to every ~3 months we have had the longs wait 122 days on Feb 18/2006 and the shortest as Jan 25/2007 at 18 days. NetMidWest: >>>But then again, look at August 24th - September 28th. Looks like I missed it also : (
Easy to miss... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=129939 The good news is it's only 12 pages and appropriately dated.
You're just jealous I won $5 bucks off of SundayBrew's challenge... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1322247&postcount=160 is probably the real gem of the thread. Google has had a few weird updates that were frozen or seemed like 2 parts now: June 29 & July 13 - update started, stalled, finished August 24 & September 28 - partial updates, old sites saw PR changes for first time in 1 year January 10 & January 25 - Sure felt like 2 full updates, but is it possible? And of course, there's the whole Jagger / Big Daddy debacle... It can't be easy for the mods to keep track of things either. That is why the threads are getting merged, frozen updates and multiple PR values on several d/c's just confusing to many, and everyone seems to want to start a new thread rather than take a look around, maybe even on to the second page, before doing so...

There were 2 full updates for sure. I dropped down from a PR8 to PR7 on the Jan25 one.
My PR changed on the 25th, too. I got downgraded on the 16th and lost all my good rankings, but they thankfully came back on the 25th.
