Hello DP Members, I Recently got affected by Google Panda Update. My many sites got sudden drop in rankings and also traffic and revenue went down. How Can I achieve same rankings back and what are the ways? Does anyone got affected by Google Panda update. Anyones opinion will be appreciated. Thank You. Regards, Card
Well, not much to do. Just hope google understand that this update has dropped to many quality sites, and that they do something about it. I have started to get even more backlinks, just because im so sad...
Quality links with unique content will definite help you to recover form this Google analytic update.
I find it hard to survive in this update. I mean they're showing amazon links on top that makes our amazon aff sites useless. They're showing youtube videos for almost any query, which is irrelevant. I think this is poor update for search users, webmasters are already affected. I stopped using google analytics as that way they get more data about site and can slap in their panda upadte.
Same with me. The latest Panda update has badly effected my site from 3000+ visitors/day to only 1300+ visitors/day now since last week. Try to build more unique and original contents to achieve this
Its very hard to recover from the panda slap quickly , but you can start to change things, give more importance to the content, don't duplicate the content and you can use "Page Speed Tool" provided by Google to indicate about the quality of the website and about the areas need to be worked on.
they are definitely favoring top sites likes amazon, youtube, yahoo answers, reddit more than smaller blogs like edward2 points out. I see over 4 youtube links for my main keyword, which is ridiculous as some of them are not well related.
I found this time Google's Panda algorithm update hit the sites which has very high bounce rate, very high page loading time, rough designs, poor quality inbound links, etc.. We should try to improve all these and wait for next panda algorithm update after a month to see a better result. Remember this is not a permanent ban from Google. Still there are chances to get it up to old state.
This happened to what many of us would call medium-to-big websites/blogs (50,000+ UV/day) end of Feb 2011. Just wait it out. The algorithm is constantly being tweaked. You may find you will recover a little in the next month or two but it will most likely not return to where you traffic was. The only other option is to increase your content - more content = more entry points into your website. Be careful about creating more backlinks suddenly - now that you have moved down the rankings you are not as visible and logically the new backlinks to your website will not be as much as when you were at the top of rankings. Google may take this into account. Rather keep focused on content - quality content. Many of those medium-to-big websites/blogs have recovered by 30% to 50% just by continuing with business as usual. Those that tried to do drastic things link paginate articles (in an attempt to increase content), creating new but shorter articles and integrating more video and less text did not recover by August 2011. This can be a 6 month wait but don't expect rankings to return to pre-October levels. Rather just increase content so your can regain some traffic. Just my opinion / advice from my experience.
This is not you alone, there are many who have been afffected by this new filter. Even many have gone for losing their whole business and gone bankrupt
No still We are with better position, never faced yet, ok if by chances it's happening, then you should changes your content immediate and get some quality back links.
Thanks that I lost ranking during the Panda 1 Update. My main blog is gone.... Built a unique content site, that will help you sort all the problem. Thanks
