Hi, my website exambazar.com went from 15000 per day traffic to 200 per day google webmaster doesn;t seem to give me any answer, what could be the probable reason. There isnt any spam either. How do I know what the problem is. Please help
Well with your site being realted to exams i would expect it to see huge amounts of traffic in the " exam season " now that this " exam Season " is over I would expect a drop in traffic what countries provide most of your trafic? Ross.
Maybe it went the same way the bride selling site did - google might be just dropping entire categories of site.
i am also the victim of this huge drop, my site's traffic dropped to few hundreds don't know whats google is doing and how to rectify the problem
No we were ranked on top for several keywords, infact major keywords but all rankings have been lost. There is no genuine reply from google support forum. And google has a big ego so it never replies to small webmasters
Biggest problem is that writing exambazar does not bring exambazar.com on top which earlier it used to.
Check your keywords...for some reason, you lost your rank on a popular keywords perhaps.....Or, you had your link featured someplace that was removed, i.e. a forum.
I agree with signorm68, currently Google update a new version of Panda.. If you email them for this problem, believe me, they will not reply you. I ever watched a news about a big company sue them in court and Google win for this case, they just ask you to read Terms of Service..
Look dangerous ; have you checked the Google Analytic Code in your source code of site.. might be out from the source code when you changed something .... so just check.. may be you regain same traffic as before. Good Luck..
This Google is tremendously working out, i thought I'm only the one suffering but there you are also experiencing down to earth, the traffic that you've been worked for hard. What happening to Google search ranking is unrealistic.
I noticed the issue on other sites also. No one including me can give the exact answer to you since it's natural of Google business. I don't think it's caused by Google Panda Update only. My analyze so far gave me the following conclusion; I'm afraid to say that Your site doesn't have enough quality (back links, domain age, and etc) to deserve the previous traffic. I checked with domain-pop. It only gave 322 backlinks, which is very very small comparing to your site size. Your site is big with many pages. 17,700 indexed pages in google. Your site is fairly new. Domain age is 2 years, 11 months and 24 days old. Google prefers old site. "Old is good" by Google. So, think about it. All your site doesn't look good to Google so far. So, if you have high traffic from Google, it's not normal. My guess is that Google gives some chance to your web site, which means it's new site and fairly big site and new. Google expose your site to people and see how people response to your site. If user stay on your site longer and click your site and bounce rate is low, then Google keep giving your site credit. But, if it's not the case, Google retrieve the chance. Check your Google Analytics and what keywords gave the big traffic before. If the keywords are very random, it means my guess may be right. My suggestion is this; forget about the big traffic without effort you got before. Now you need to do real SEO. Build quality backlinks. You will see your traffic increases step by step, which you deserve. I hope it helps.
Things were working fine the keywords prior were genuine I had shifted my server from dreamhost to hostgator where google said there was 500 error on some pages i wonder if that could be the reason for the dropping of rankings but even after moving back to dreamhost the things doesnt seem to be working out as before
http://siteanalytics.compete.com/exambazar.com/ It doesn't look like you were getting that much traffic to being with.
