Hi, I'm looking into an alternative affiliate to use when Adsense is not able to find ads for a few of my pages. Does anyone have any recommendations? Has anyone tried any of the following? Thanks!

    Clicksor
    MarketBanker
    BidClix
    Chitika
    AllFeeds
    Adhearus
    AffiliateSensor
    Bidvertiser

I just tried Clicksor on one of my pages and wasn't thrilled. I used the wide skyscraper format and 4 out of the 5 ads were all the same.

That happens sometimes when Clicksor can't find enough relevant ads.

Here's the good thing about Clicksor: Everything else I've tried is worse. :D

    (Not counting AdSense)

I believe FindWhat allows advertising affiliates.

    I tried:

    Clicksor
    MarketBanker
    BidClix

and none came close to paying what adsense did. Got rid of them quickly.

Clicksor takes a while to "kick-in" - if you leave it on your site for a while, you'll find more and more relavent ads, and less multiple ads. The pay isn't great, but it works as a great backup for Adsense - I'm using it instead of the PDA ads... and I'm also experimenting with the in-line contextual ads, and so far, they seem to be working quite well. :D

I haven't been able to get the in-line contextual ads working on anything I try. Does anyone have a sample page where they actually work?

    Thank you people!

I will look into some of these alternatives to adsense.

I would also like to learn about smaller programs that exists in the US marked, if there are none.
I am currently creating a camping website, the effective CPM is the main focus.

Ah... okay, now I see what the problem is. It only works on Internet Explorer on Windows. :) Fair enough...

Does it just pick up keywords you pre-define in your account, or is it actually dynamic? Picking up keywords you didn't specifically define?

It's dynamic... so I don't have to pre-specify keywords... just like clicksor ads, though, the payout isn't great, but it's got a higher CTR with the in-line ads... (and yeah, it only works in IE... hehe)

Hmmm... wonder how they are doing it dynamically (from a technical standpoint), I wonder if the user's browser is transmitting the age contents or something.

From what I understand, it gets spidered, and then looks for words to turn into links... not exactly sure, though... you can make it blend in quite well, though... you have to look pretty closely to figure out what are ads and what are just hyper links on my site... ;)

yeah this is the problem I'm having. Is it because DP and I have the Clicksor code on a seperate PHP page and link to it in Google Adsense?

How long does Clicksor take to register on the site - I've been waiting 4 days now, the impressions are showing up but no clicks.

It takes about a week in my experience to start getting relavent ads, but the clicks seem to update faster than with google... I check my stats, and they seem to update at least every hour. Try sending an IM or email to your account manager - they're quite efficient at getting back to you, I've found.

yep I sent off an email. It might be because I registered about 3 months and only started using it recently.

I've also signed up with Marketbanker and the Network PPC ads are taking ages also!

You have to define keywords, and then your account manager defines other keywords. You can remove entries from both your list and his (or her) list.

Ahhh... you're right... I never noticed the "editors" keywords before... does the account manager do it him/herself, or does a spider do it, and then they approve?

I am looking for a adsense alternative which would allow adult content. Anyone know any good programs?
